"Ok Hotel...I expected better as it was an Iberostar. The nice staff made up for it"

8.0

This hotel looked like a municipal building from the arrival point but with a stunning scenic backdrop outside however the staff were friendly and someone brought you to the correct block. We were in Block 2 floor 4, a large well equipped room and bathroom but with a tiny badly furnished balcony. The room was noisy at night with the dubious quality of the entertainment. The food ok..bit flavourless with the pasta being the best option here and the breakfast juices poor quality and very watery. All inclusive only applies to outside bars, strange policy and should be made clear when booking. The wine is not labelled suitable for vegetarians so avoided it and drank soda water. In fact the labelling was not always correct with fish dishes marked vegetarian making me stick to vegan choices mostly. The pools are lovely although in need of some tile repair and the grounds extremely well kept and pretty.

"Poor experience"

6.0

Gutted about the hotel, our room was filthy under the chairs and bed. Staff very inattentive, some almost seem like they can’t be bothered and I’m not talking about being waited on, we don’t expect that, just basic stuff . Food has been so repetitive, it’s not bad just got bored of the same food. Same pasta dishes at the snack bar and restaurant, same salads , same proteins , same carbs , everything is the same every meal at every eating area. Mini bar is extra charge which wasn’t made clear. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. We asked for tea/coffee facilities, never had an all inclusive without one. We got given a kettle, had to go find mugs/tea/coffee, milk . . Kids club was poor, no structure and at times I feel our child could have left without them noticing. Kids disco involves no interaction with the children. Majority of the staff walk round on there phones. The staff in the restaurants aren’t attentive. On a positive the pools are nice.

"Amazing hotel resort & beautiful scenery"

8.0

Great welcome to the hotel, unfortunately we couldn't get to our room until 3pm after arriving at 12.30pm, so we were told to leave our luggage behind the reception and given our all inclusive wristbands, as we were really tired we went straight to the bar and then we could also get food from the snack restaurant situated in block 3 lower floor, they had a good selection of fresh pizzas and pasta to choose from. Beers and spirits from the pool bar are ok only one beer, a local beer which is quite sweet if you like a dark beer your knackered, spirits were Smirnoff red and other premium ones, I choose vodka and soda from the machine you can help yourself. Cocktails are pre mixed from the machine but can add more alcohol if you want, mojito is extremely sweet so I was not having the syrup from the machine but getting bar staff to mix it up and it was much better. Still currently on our holiday and the weather has been very kind considering to the build up for our holiday was looking at the app for the weather, don't do it as it's completely different to the weather we are having, 25-26c at the moment. The food has been very good and the breakfast has been the best thing to eat with a great selection of fresh food including omelette and scrambled eggs two choices, they cater for eastern Europe and Germans and of course British. Pools are good and still warm enough to get in without freezing from first dipping, plenty of space for sunbathing etc and chilling out. Please don't read people's negative comments about this hotel aswel as it's bloody good and most definitely recommend for a good quality hotel and stay. Will write another review soon as still on holiday till 2nd October.

"Picturesque"

8.0

Stayed in this hotel for a week 2nd week in September. 3 adults sharing a sea view room in block 2 floor 6. We had lovely views I have to say. The room was big enough and happy that the 3rd bed was a proper bed and not just a sofa bed as you find in many hotels. The balcony was small with upgraded furniture needed. The room was in need of a little tlc but it was fine. However, we found the bedding to be heavily stained and torn. The floors were in need of a good vacuum to pick up all the hairs from previous guests. The bathroom was a good size. Our room wasn’t cleaned one day. When I asked the cleaner, she said she didn’t have time! Never seen this before! I had to ask for clean towels and replace them myself. Not great service. There were plenty of loungers around. The drinks were good. The food was tasty but a little repetitive. Be wary of meat dishes. Large bones were found in a lamb dish and the chicken paella. The desserts were very tasty. The beach bar is very quiet on a night so a nice time to go down there. We didn’t bother with the entertainment but it was very loud until late. So glad I brought earplugs! Overall, a nice hotel in lovely surroundings.

"Wonderful hotel in great location."

10.0

Just home from an eleven day holiday in this wonderful hotel in a beautiful country. Placed between Becici and Budva, both great places and walkable. A visit to Budva old town is a must. The complex is large, with pools, tennis courts, beautiful gardens and the beach on your doorstep. On arrival reception staff were quick to allocate our block. We stayed in block 2 and was escorted to the reception there which dealt quickly with our check in. Room on 6th floor was spotless with great shower and amazing views. Room cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels also changed daily. Food was varied and delicious and we never felt we couldn’t find anything to eat. Snack bar done everything from pastas, salads, pizzas, pancakes, kebabs, cakes, ice creams and the usual burgers, chips and hotdogs and stayed open to midnight. Was given branded drinks if we asked for them. The grounds were kept spotless as were the pools. All staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, would like to give a shout out to Nikola who worked tirelessly in the snack bar and around other areas of the hotel and also to the young man who worked from 4pm everyday in the pool bar, sorry I didn’t catch his name. We don’t bother with the entertainment so I can’t personally comment on that but many people went every night. This place is a little slice of paradise and we can’t wait to return.

"Brilliant Hotel!"

10.0

We were a little apprehensive before visiting due to reading some negative reviews, however we were very impressed with the hotel overall! We stayed in block 1, in a ground floor garden view room which was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. The hotel itself was fantastic, we had a few days by the pool and never had any trouble getting loungers. The food in the restaurants was good, we only ate evening meals 3 times through the week but there were always good options. The staff worked tirelessly to keep everything clean. The indoor pool and gym was also really good and well equipped. The hotel beach was great, we didn't rent loungers but regularly walked down for a swim in the sea. The hotel is in walking distance to some good restaurants in Becici and Budva, although we did prefer to get a taxi to Budva old town. The reception team were always happy to help booking taxis etc. I wouldn't say this was a 5* hotel, however I would give our stay 5* based on the price we paid and our brilliant experience!

"Great holiday, good value for money. I would recommend"

8.0

- Food - food is of a good standard but can be repetitive as only a few changes a week. Pizza, pasta and salad always available and nice. Breakfast is the same every day and catered for the Europeans. You can get food somewhere on the resort from 0700-0000 which is great availability and means there isn’t such a rush to get food at meal times only. - Drinks - the drinks options are good. During meal times you self pour your own Niksicko beer, white, red and rosè wine and unbranded soft drinks (these included sparking and still water, orange and apple juice, fizzy orange and diet cola and coffees). At other times of the day you can go to the bar and the staff will pour your drinks. We found that cocktails are pre-mixed and are quite weak but the staff have no issues with putting more spirits in the cocktail if you ask. There are two other bars on site which you pay for (get 50% off) but we didn’t feel the need to visit these. - Swimming pool - there are two pools. The larger pool was the one we used and it’s 1.2m in depth. You are allowed to use inflatables in there and play ball games. For slight improvement I would have preferred a no kids/no splash pool and the other pool for kids. They play decent but relatively loud music all day which we enjoyed but if you prefer to read a book in the quiet you may want to get a sun bed further out. We did not have any problems with getting a sun bed for the whole 2 weeks and the sun beds have a handy section which comes over the head end for shade so there aren’t fights for parasols. One thing we would say is the staggered tiled steps into the pool are rather slippy and us and others fell whilst getting in so need to make sure you get I slowly and hold onto the bar at all times. When you arrive, if you wish to use the hotel towels you have to hand in €20 cash per towel as a deposit and get it back at the end when you hand the towel back. You can also change your beach towel daily at the swimming pool. - Staff - Reception is 24 hours and found them to be very helpful with suggesting places to visit or calling a taxi. Especially Ana who wrote down all the information for us. - Rooms - we stayed in block 3, the rooms are fine for what you need, maybe slightly dated but fine. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Room was clean and shower was powerful. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and hand wash. The cleaner will come in and make beds and change towels every morning around 10/11ish. We paid slightly extra to have a garden/sea view which is nice, although balcony was quite small but enough room to dry towels and clothes. As this was facing the areas where the entertainment is held (which usually lasts until 2230 ever night) it could be quiet noisy, so if you would like a quiet night you may struggle to sleep, but again we were happy to stay and enjoy the entertainment. - Entertainment team- very engaging, especially Can and Bogdan, multiple activities going on throughout the day. Not too pushy. Great for kids. Activities include darts, water polo, water/beach volleyball, aqua fit, frisbee, boccia, table tennis, musical quiz and bingo. - Location - you have a small pebbled beach less than 100m from the hotel. Sun beds are free for hotel residents until midday and then 15€ for the rest of the day but even non residents of the hotel can use them after midday. You are less than 10mins taxi ride (cost us 6-10€) to bus station (where you can get a single bus ride to Kotor for €4.80pp). There is also a costal path all the way to Okd town Budva which is roughly 1.8 miles in distance. It does involve walking through a tunnel which is slightly sloped. - Facilities - There is a small shop selling essentials and there is a car hire from the hotel at as little as €50 per day with insurance. There are two different wifis but we find they were both very intermittent. Something else which would have been great to have would be somewhere to watch sport.

"Excellent"

8.0

Coffee machines could be improved/replaced, not even a glass of wine included in all-inclusive, too loud music being blasted at dinner and (if dining late), from the entertainment outside until 22.30 hours. Anything else was superb and the staff was excellent.

"Wonderful holiday in a lovely hotel in a beautiful location."

10.0

Wonderful holiday in a great hotel. We read so many negative reviews that made us a bit apprehensive but we had no issues at all. We went as a couple for two weeks from 4-18 September so I can only comment on this time period. Yes it's a big and busy hotel but apart from the life guards the staff work incredibly hard to keep this place exceptionally clean and tidy and pretty much all the staff are extremely friendly. Have to mention Nikola from Setbia who was a great bloke and worked none stop round the snack restaurant and pool area, the wonderful pool bar staff of Lazar and Marian and the very friendly towel man always a smile on his face, I think his name was also Lazar. I hope whoever reads this will praise the people named. Lifeguards couldn't care less, always on their phone and didn't stop people bringing glasses or crockery to pool area even though this was pointed out to them. We stopped in block 2 on 5th floor with spectacular sea, mountains and garden view...the gardens are wonderful and absolutely immaculate. Room was basic as was patio furniture but was cleaned every day with fresh towels and linen and was just fine for the two of us. The pool area was again very clean and tidy and fully cleaned every night. July and August may very well be an issue for sun loungers but we never had a problem getting two together, there were loads free round the pool at 9-10 am and plenty empty on the grass all day. We even came back from a trip at 3pm and got two together by the pool. People have previously complained about wasps round the drink despenser but there's nothing you can do about them and if you dont bother them they don't bother you. The food...well we ate like pigs, so much choice it's ridiculous and we never struggled to find something different each day, the salads and ice cream are especially delicious. We never watched entertainment because we always sat by pool bar but it always seemed extremely popular. I would definitely recommend this hotel at this time of year, it was really wonderful in a brilliant location and we had amazing weather. Only negative and it's nothing to do with hotel is that it's an absolute ball ache of a drive to and from airport purely because of long term road works and Tivat airport is ridiculously small, absolute chaos on return journey, not fit for purpose.

"Lovely place"

8.0

Ok 9 people on holiday together best friends really enjoying the holiday I would have given full Marks but the hotel rooms need a bit of work all very clean excellent staff very hard working. Food is lovely loads of choice you can end up eating far too much especially ice cream and cake pancakes all on tap. Drinks ok very good rose wine on tap and all other drinks and cocktails ok. If you’re fussy like me pay a bit at the piano bar fantastic cocktail and better beer and sit on the outside terrace with fantastic views across the sea. If you’re fussy like me. If you want a change of scenery walk along the beach towards becci there are lots of really good bars and restaurants all reasonable. All very clean everywhere all a lovely hotel but massive and in need of a makeover in some places the pool is lovely but music all day gets a bit much.
