Iberostar Waves Cozumel - All Inclusive

We visited Iberostar in November as a family - we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere, pools, food and drinks were amazing. Judi made our stay even better - she was such a fun host. We loved all the events she hosted!!

My family stayed here and had an amazing time. The restaurant options were great. Lots of space on the beach and at the poolside - loved the beach swing! The activities and entertainment were so fun, we especially loved the movie theme song trivia in the pool and music trivia in the lobby with Jude! It made our trip super memorable. Would definitely go back!

Came here with my family and had a great time! The staff did an amazing job of getting everyone in on the activities and keeping them fun (Thanks Judi!). The resort also had comfortable rooms, great food, and there was always space at either the pool or the beach. Highly recommend!

Group of 28 for a scuba diving trip with Dressel Divers. Everything was excellent… from check-in to check-out. Friendly, VERY accommodating staff always willing to do anything to meet our needs. The room was comfy and cool. Food options were plentiful Alfredo the concierge was helpful Bell boys were efficient & friendly Our housekeeper Maribel was great & kept plenty of coffee for us ;-)

Amazing holiday in a fantastic village. The only downside: the resort is so immersive that we got lost! But perhaps, when you think about it, that’s exactly what a holiday is all about The entertainment was top-notch, delivered with great professionalism. A special mention goes to the legendary Humberto, a cheerful, tireless entertainer who is also polite and kind Alessandro

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The food was good and the beach was clean. Alfredo and Jessie were very helpful during our stay.

This is our second trip here with a large group of scuba divers. I love the natural setting here with the cute bungalows scattered about. The thatch roofs make it feel very charming and all of the tall trees and various plants all around is so inviting. The iguanas, flamingos, peacocks, parrots and hummingbirds are wonderful to enjoy. Although the steak restaurant El Cedral is under construction, the food at the Asian and Mexican restaurants as well as the buffet does not disappoint. Plenty of options even for the picky eaters. The staff is always wonderful, very helpful and friendly. While my husband was diving, I enjoyed yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics, all led by Monalo. He is a great instructor!! And although I’m not much for a gym, it is well equipped, well maintained, and very clean. The rooms are quite spacious, we had a king size bed, two nightstands, the TV stand with the refrigerator and three drawers as well as adequate closet space for hanging and shelving plus a safe. The bathroom is also more than adequate space for showers and the daily prep. The only negative is that there is virtually nothing to walk to outside the resort. But if you are very happy to stay on resort, it is a fantastic place to be!

Positives- staff is nice and hard working with fun entertainment and activities, facilities are clean, buffet is good with special taco chef near the pool sometimes, beach and pool are good enough, environment is lovely with all the birds and animals, the resort is really cute w nice aesthetics, actually beautiful. One tries to see more positives so you can enjoy the sun and fun. Now I will point out the negatives because you can see the positive in their advertisements. Negatives are hard to ignore- CONSTRUCTION means only 2 restaurants a far walk from the the beach and pool and hammering and chainsaw NOISE all day in multiple spots around the resort including next to the pool and rooms - not relaxing at all. The music played near pool and bars is pretty bad, like elevator music until they have a pool game then it’s fun and good, but then back to elevator music after. Rooms are dated and small, air conditioning was really loud and a strong sewage smell always coming out of toilet and shower drain was really off-putting. There is a lot of pressure for up-selling from lobby staff to get you to sit through membership/time share sales etc. I paid extra to have our room decorated for a special event and the decoration was really small and disappointing. I go to AI resorts often and I would give this one a 6/10. Would be 8/10 with better music, no construction, no sewage smell in room and all restaurants open.

We loved the food, service was great, very clean. We will be back.
