B&B Tana della Volpe

The few over the lake in the neighbourhood. The very warm welkom from the lady of the house.

Week end caldissimo e la mancanza di aria condizionata si fa sentire. La colazione è migliorabile.

The room we got was nothing like the one advertised it was much smaller and self catering was practically impossible. There are people who apparently live here that get up at 5am very noisily and if you need a lie in after an interupted nights sleep you probably won't get your room cleaned or provisions stocked up. breakfast consists of coffee, long-life cakes, yoghurts, butter and jam and bread left in your room. Quite a walk into the town itself. Main outside terrace was out of use due to maintenance which was noisy in the daytime. Friendly people though but wouldn't stay again

The first night the room was very cold. I had to wear clothes in bed. I told the host she was apologetic and helpful. She turned the heat up, wanting to be helpful it was on all night I was very hot by now! Globally the place is in a very quiet street, above the lake. There is a nice kitchennette in the room with basic things on offer. The host is kind and friendly

Das B&B liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse. Die Gastgeber sprechen neben italienisch auch englisch und sind sehr nett. Das Zimmer ist sauber, das Bett groß und bequem mit separatem WC und Dusche. Der moderne TV, bietet leider nur italienische Sender. Es gibt typisches italienisches Frühstück zum Selbstmachen auf dem Zimmer mit Kaffee, Joghurt, verschiedenen Marmeladen und Toast und separat verpackte Küchlein. Der schön angelegte Garten in Hanglage zum See hin bietet schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir waren an Ostern hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We stayed at B&B Tana Della Volpe as we had family staying down the road in Barzola. The B&B lived up to previous high ratings, with a beautiful lakeside view, in a very quiet location. The owners, Simona and her father Giovanni, were so wonderfully welcoming, allowing our daughter to stay with us for a few nights for a smal additional fee with the sofa bed made up for her already. As Ispra is quite quiet and there is a limited bus service from the town (a ten to fifteen minute walk away) Simona and Giovanni were very kind to offer us lifts to Ispra ferry port, but also to Angera a little further away (with a more frequent service), which allowed us to take boats to Arona, Stresa and the Isole Boromee. Honestly, Simona and Giovanni made our stay what it was, and we do hope to keep in touch with them! If you want a quiet lakeside getaway, and don't mind walking a little, the Ispra ferry port is only about a 25 minute walk away, and the area is quiet but felt safe. The guesthouse is beautiful with little tables and parasols with lake views dotted around the site for breakfast and reading time. The East coast is quieter than the West coast of the lake, but this place is beautiful to stay in, and you will be will looked after by the wonderful family that own this B&B. Haben von diesem B&B mehrere Tagesausflüge unternommen und daher nicht allzu viel Zeit dort verbracht. Es genügt, um zu schlafen und die Küche genügt, um sich ein Abendbrot zu machen. Die Besitzer der Hotels waren sehr nett und konnten auch einige gute Tipps für Restaurants und Badestrände in der Nähe geben. Alles in allem ist das B&B völlig ausreichend, um als Ausgangspunkt für Tagestouren zu dienen, jedoch wollte ich nicht den ganzen Tag dort verbringen.

Chambre bien équipée avec vue sur le lac. Maison isolée loin de tout.

Leider nichts für Schimmelallergiker. Frühstück bescheiden aber alles da. Man kann es sich selbst zubereiten und ist dadurch unabhängig. Schöner Sitzplatz draußen mit Blick auf den See. Leider vergitterte Fenster. Eines der 3 Zimmer hat allerdings eine unvergitterte Tür direkt nach draußen, von den anderen beiden Zimmern muss man ums Haus herum auf die Terasse gehen.
