Pethers Rainforest Retreat

Everything, the cabin was absolutely beautiful, the bed was so comfy, the room super clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be back

A beautiful, spacious retreat with views of the rainforest. All the little details had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. I loved the kitchenette that enabled us to take dinner and heat it up in the evening. The spa bath and included sparkling wine made for a romantic evening.

Hard to think of anything we didn’t like.

The treehouse was right in the rainforest. It felt very private although also very easy to access (on boardwalks) from the carpark and reception. The rainforest itself was spectacular and it was great to sit on the balcony and take it all in. There was an avocado orchard on site that we could wander through. We picked a few avocadoes and are looking forward to when they are ripe. Sparkling wine and chocolate were there for us on arrival. Aircon, heating and wifi were all good.

We would have preferred more choices in the breakfast and the breakfast time. Breakfast was served around 8.30 (+ or - 15 mins) - we would have preferred it earlier. The only cereal option was granola with yoghurt. They gave us two pieces of fruit each day (one for each of us) - a small apple and a small mandarin. We were given little jars of honey and jam but no bread or toast. They gave us a little pat of butter on one of the three days but we had nothing to put it on! If we came again we would bring our own bread and butter as there was a toaster and a small refrigerator (and a microwave) in the room. The avocado bagel was delicious but a bit more than we are used to having for breakfast. Bring your own hand lotion and slippers (neither were provided).

Sofas could be more comfortable.

Our stay was absolutely divine. The customer service was top-notch, and it was so relaxing being surrounded by nature - we even saw a Paddymelon! It was a truly special place to celebrate a special occassion. I’m so glad we chose to come. The chocolates, champagne, and avocado orchard picking were such thoughtful and memorable touches.

A few small things to note that could make the experience even better: on the second day, breakfast included feta avocado toast despite my request for a vegan option. Some of the curtains in Cabin 2 were quite stained and could do with replacing, and the windows would benefit from a clean. The bed was also a little creaky, and complimentary bath gel for a bubble bath would have been a lovely addition. An EV charger on-site would be a great improvement—we had difficulty finding a suitable one nearby and had a long journey home. Lastly, I was really looking forward to trying the on-site restaurant, but it was closed during our stay. We’ll definitely be back to experience it soon. Despite these minor points, we absolutely loved our stay and will be recommending Pethers to family and friends. I feel so relaxed after our time here.

Beautiful room in a pristine setting. I wish I knew the name of the lady in reception with short dark hair--so welcoming and accommodating!!! Also Elon (I think that was his name-housekeeping staff from Turkey) was also very helpful and friendly.

Walkways were slippery especially with wet leaves

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at pethers. We loved our "treehouse" - large and airy bungalow with king bed, spa, gas faux woodfire, large windows and deck overlooking a gorgeous rainforest. We found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating and we loved the fresh breakfast livered to our door each morning. We also purchased one of their picnic baskets to eat at the nearby lookout at sunset - it was delicious and very generous. The restaurant isa mut visit - book a table and enjoy the delicious set menu. Only one small quibble - we fully understand that this is a wedding venue, but perhaps non-wedding guests should be accomodated at a bungalow furthest from the reception area. We were in the closest bungalow and it was very loud. I would definitely highly recommend.
