Marketed the room for 3 people. All they did was place a fold-out bed in a 2p room, and call it a different name. It was way too small. Foldout bed was uncomfortable. The water heating unit leaked badly, we would enter the bathroom to a wet floor. The staff were told multiple times but didn't fix it. They put a towel on the floor where the dripping water was falling, which resulted in a wet towel on the floor... Breakfast was hit and miss- cold omelette, lukewarm sausages, room temperature yogurt. Not very nice. They used tea candles to keep food warm. Seriously? Only 2 tea cups for a 3 person room. We had to get an additional tea cup ourselves. Tea bags were placed in the room, but no kettle. We were told to go to water coolers to get hot water, but most of them weren't connected to electricity so you had to hunt around for one which was, or go down one flight of stairs for hot water. All this trouble, for one cup of tea. There was a kettle you can use, but you can't keep it on your room, or else you can receive a fine. Extremely inconvenient! Staff were very quick to respond to problems which was nice. Service was good. Location was good. Wouldn't stay here again. Dusty under the bed. Smell of mold in the corridor. Smelt of cigarettes. Signage to get to the hotel was unclear. The entrance isn't labelled well. Graffiti of 2 knives at the entrance. The staff pretended this was "creative graffiti"- looks like an alley where you may get stabbed.
Great service. Great hotel for the price you pay. They only need to work on the entrance of the building
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel when we first arrived.
The hotel was located right next to the train station and felt very safe. The rooms are small but clean. Free wifi worked great and the front desk was helpful in providing directions and a map of the city (spoke good English) Overall a great hotel given the price (which includes a continental style breakfast).
Very personal touch with the hotel as there are only 24 rooms. Person at reception helped me order food and she hand delivered it to the room. Room was surprisingly quiet even though it was near the train station.
Stayed 3 nights in this cosy hotel. Nice breakfast. Staircase with a suitcase the only challenging thing. Very central for walking around St Petersburg. Great stay
Good english speaking staff. Close to metro and shops. Wifo worked well. Room has fridge .Breakfast was pretty good as well.Room needs black out curtains as day break was pretty early my room was on the reception floor and walls were a bit thin.
This hotel is simply Fantastic. For GBP 20 per night, it's unexpectedly top quality. The main entrance is from the Moscow Station side (not Nevsky Prospect, as it says in the address), but once you've found the entrance, it's all pleasure from then onwards. The hotel staff are smiley and very helpful.
A great clean inexpensive hotel right next to the main railway station. We stayed here after staying in a very expensive hotel so we could catch an early train. But it was so good we wished we had stayed here all along. Great location. Clean and comfortable. Lovely staff. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.
