How conveniently close it was to everything.

How old the rooms were..definitely could use a renovation.

What I liked is the free breakfast options. Warm foods and many options. We also liked the hot tub. What I did not like is the thread-bare frayed towels in our room's bathroom. The bed sheets were fine.

Just returned from another 3 days boys golf trip to Malone NY. Our package as always, included 2 night accommodation at the Holiday Inn, 3 rounds of golf, breakfast at the hotel and 2 X 5$ lunch vouchers for the golf course. A great deal at $329 US$ which has not gone up in the past couple of years surprisingly. We normally stop somewhere on the Friday to play a round of golf in a nearby town but the weather wasn't at its best that weekend so we got rained out on Friday and drove directly to Malone. We were also limited to the East Course at Malone as the West course was under water. Mother nature wasn't super cooperative.... The hotel is located near downtown and close to a Wal-Mart where we were able to stock up for the room (beer and snacks). The room (shared with another golf buddy - there were 18 of us travelling down) was very comfortable. AC worked well. 2 queen beds, fridge, flat screen TV, good wi-fi, a coffee maker. Bathroom with nice toiletries, hair dryer and plenty of towels. The hotel also has a nice indoor pool and very large hot tub which was great after a long golf day. This is where all of us gather for a beer (or 4) after golf and before dinner at Moe's pub which is located across the parking lot. Breakfast is provided downstairs in the lobby at 7am. But as our tee times were around 7 am, we arranged for one of the staff member to come in at 6 and get a few things going including coffee. A young lady was kind enough to do this and of course, was tipped generously by our group. I definitely would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Malone for a golf trip or other reason and as evidenced by the other golfers, it is certainly a go to place for weekend golf trips to the Malone Golf course.

Checking in was easy and lathe room was clean and comfortable. Lots of dining near by. Kids loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi

Another successful group golf trip to Malone. The HIE Malone is the perfect place before and after golf. Check in was friendly and even got some rooms checked in early. The pool and hot tub are an excellent perk, rooms always clean and comfortable. Breakfast is standard hotel fare but the staff are what makes it special. Thanks to the breakfast person for going above and beyond.
