JW Marriott Hotel Bogotá

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. Very much enjoyed the stay. It’s a large hotel. Location: A. We could walk to a few restaurants and was close to our office as well. Room: B I was upgraded to a nice large corner room for my Platinum status. Bathroom was nice and big with great water pressure. Bed was comfy. However the decor seemed a bit dated and not modern. Many JW Marriott’s have dated decor but was still a bit of a turnoff. Gym: B+ Decent size has a good selection of machines and weights. Needs more treadmills. Staff: A Everyone was super attentive, helpful and friendly thought out. Lounge: A Full breakfast and a made-to-order omelette station. If you can get access take advantage.

Think twice before staying here! What do you call it when a hotel charges $876.40 of room rate overcharges on your credit card without ever notifying you? After being a completely loyal Marriott client for over 15 years, I am shocked and saddened that the the JW Marriott Bogotá tried to charge me approximately $876.40 of overcharges on top of my confirmed reservation. I had to "discover" on my own that the hotel was charging me an additional $135 a night on top of my confirmed reservation. Once I discovered that (by checking my hotel bill after a few nights) I met with Management and for the next week tried to negotiate a resolution with them. On the night before I was scheduled to check out they sent me the calculation of the hotel charges (at my request) and I saw that the overcharges of $876.40 remained. The hotel needs to correct the error they made and refund any overcharges above the original confirmed reservation amount.

Wow! Now this is an amazing hotel! Incredible services and staff. From the minute you arrive you will be greeted by a representative that will help you with whatever you need. They also have hotel sponsored transportation. It costs 2X more than Uber but is safe and roomy. Basically, it is a Hyundai Santa Fe but rebranded for Colombia (XLV). The staff is amazing. Smiling the entire time and extremely helpful. They have a small jogging trail map to use but I would recommend doing some research before you arrive. Also on Sunday the street in front of the hotel becomes a two way street instead of a one way street. I had room 324 which had a small balcony that didn't really have a view but allowed me to get fresh air. The restaurant on the ground floor is fantastic and the surrounding area is really nice. A Dunkin Donut shop is just a block away and Zone G is a nice place to walk around. I felt completely safe, but use your street smarts. Don't be flashy and don't flash your phone. Great place to stay. Very pricey $$$$ but worth it if you can spoil yourself! Way to go Bogota and Colombia.

Have stayed at this JW location many times, rates are pricey because they are in dollars and are far from competitive to non American branded hotels. Service is very good, specially at club lounge. Pool is indoors, rooms are clean, room service is okay, Pricey and not always great.

Excellent breakfast and brunch with lots of fresh/local products. Very warm and friendly staff all around the hotel. Would definitely return to this hotel in a future stay.

A bulb in the bathroom as well as the safe in the room were defect (minor malfunctions). We did not report this during our stay.

Great location. Most staff were amazing. Breakfast service was very poor. Good food though
