"a gem"

10.0

The hotel staff are professional and helpful. My room was clean, and, when I had a problem with the kettle, it was replaced right away. The only problem I had was the lack of hot water one night, when I returned at the wee hour of the morning and wished to have a shower. The breakfast items, although not many choices, are good. The menu changed every day, so we did not have the same things all the time. I also get to try out the south Indian food, which the hotel served for breakfast. The free internet is also a god sent.

"Comfortable but not not overly pretentious."

8.0

Nandhana is a boutique hotel. The room is fairly large, with good lighting, and very clean. The bathroom is also clean with good lighting. I coudn't get over how quiet the hotel is. A good place to rest up. The free internet is a good touch, as I left my laptop at home. The breakfast is basic but good. The drawback was the hot water in the bathroom. You have to let the water run for goodly five minutes to get warm water, and that gets cut off in five minutes. The hotel sent someone in to "fix" the problem, he lets the water run for 10 minutes and pronounced that there is hot water. He left behind a mess. The problem was not fix.

"Nandhana Hometel Indiranagar Bangalore"

8.0

During the checkin and checkout the staff presented themselves in usual courteous manner, however, during the passage through the main door and lobby, the staff would generally ignore your presence. The reception boy was always on the phone, giggling and talking, to the point that it became irritating to see him on duty and engaged in what clearly were his personal conversations, totally ignorant of the guest's presence. The doorman also would usually be looking somewhere else, and I had to push the door myself to get in, did not make me feel welcome at the hotel. The ambience is alright, the rooms were clean and adequately furnished and provisioned. The electric kettle, Usha Lexus, was a problem (room 115), it would release some black debris into the water making it undrinkable. Complimentary water bottles, two, are provided on arrival, not on each day. Newspaper is provided everyday. LCD TV is a bit small, but is ok. Secure locker is available in room. View from the window is hopeless, the window overlooks the next building and a electric junction pole full of wires. Breakfast is just ok, I got what I needed, cereals, fruits, and south indian and north indian dishes. They would do better if they offered coffee/tea/juice on the table during breakfast. Breakfast room was small. The hotel occupancy had increased and breakfast was shifted in the next building's banquet hall, it was very inconvenient. Overall, the hotel is good if you just need to have a good night's sleep, have breakfast, go to work, and come back late in the evening. Good value for money. It was very convenient as my work place was five minutes walk from the hotel.
