Days Inn by Wyndham Kemah

I loved that we were so close to the restaurants, stores and kemah boardwalk.

There was alot of younger kids unattended at the pool which was across from our rooms. Everytime we walked out of our rooms there was alot of water from the kids running in and out of the building. Also the parents were smoking weed with the windows to the pool room opened. We could still smell it. The beds were very uncomfortable and with the kids in the room above ours being very noisy by running around we did not get much sleep. We also were not very impressed with the breakfast. Your choices are either toast, waffles, or cereal.

The price is affordable and room is clean

The extra bedroom and kitchen (or so we thought based on the description)

We booked for the extra bedroom, kitchen, pool and hot tub for the kids. The room was visibly "clean" but the carpets were so dirty my kids had black feet when wearing no shoes. the appliances didn't work (only the fridge worked). There was no plates, utensils, pots pans nothing and it had a stove and microwave that didn't work anyway. The pool was absolutely disgusting. there was food and big clumps of hair floating in the pool. It was freezing and the hot tub was half full of cloudy water and not working. This was one of the main reasons we booked. The whole thing should have been closed. I didn't let my kids go in it at all. There was also no house keeping. My husband and I cleaned, and emptied garbages ourselves. We had to ask for the vacuum and vacuum our own room. We had to replace our own towels it was crazy! The gentleman at the front desk was really nice and kept apologizing but they should have called us before our stay advising there was no housekeeping and none of the amenities we were staying there for. I would have switched hotels. We ended up leaving a day early only because we had plans booked and it didn't allow us time to make a switch earlier. I will be calling all hotels and double checking that the amenities are working before staying there from now on! Which is unfortunate as you should be able to trust the site or at the very least they should send an email update!

The area/location is close to anything and everything. We were there for an event and had to make a few trips to Walmart which was literally around the corner, great food spots were down the street, and super close to Kemah Boardwalk.

Only concern was how slippery the shower floor is. I would recommend taking your own shower mat.
