Palm Grove

It was a lovely place and lovey staff APART from BETSY the owner. She was horrible to my family and friends. Our first encounter with Betsy was on the first day. We were politely trying to book a shuttle and told her it was a group booking and she proceeded to scold my mother. This was very unprofessional and uncomfortable and just plain rude. A couple days later, she was fuming at my family friend who is 11 yrs old. All because a dog had followed us inside. But she seems to have cat food all over the resort. I am aware that it is completely okay to not like having dogs in her resort but she could've approached it in a different matter to a CHILD. Other than this it was a very good place to say as it has a great location, delicious meals, and homely rooms.

We have stayed at Palm Grove in the past. We love the beachfront units. Even if the weather is poor, the view is still brilliant. The snorkeling in front of the units is extremely good with a wide variety of fish life. The sandy beach is also great. Breakfast is adequate with cereals, fruit, toast, spreads, coffee etc. Plus you can order and pay for more if you need it. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear is complimentary, if you dont have your own. Wigmores supermarket is just down the road, and the units have a good kitchen for cooking for yourself if you want to.

The breakfast was bang on, perfect to start the day off with! Fresh scones, fruit 🍋‍🟩 👍The restaurant on site had fantastic meals and was popular with people from other resorts. Rooms are amazing and so big. The bar was great with a wide range of drinks both non and alcoholic. Staff very friendly, helping out with car rentals (200m down the road) at last minute (NZ 230 - 3 days) Great supermarket, cafe and restaurant down the road. Moana sea scooters turtle tour - recommend highly, 3 minutes away. Awesome beach to snorkel and see fish. And sooo quiet - perfect holiday spot!!!😎🌴

The location was great. The bed was comfortable.

Our beachfront cabin was a bit "tired". Breakfast was quite basic, but ok. There was only 1 washing machine for the whole place and no dryer as it was broken. I was unable to wash as the machine was either washing or had someone's wet clothes sitting in it.

Large bungalow with kitchen and nice green garden - just across a small street to an amazing private beach! The restaurant is there for breakfast and dinner. Only suggestion is to please add more variety to the inclusive breakfast-perhaps savoury (boiled eggs, cheese or cold cuts) as the sweet options is not for everyone (health related), especially when staying for more than a few days. Overall great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

What a fantastic place to stay. Lovely poolside villas, great onsite restaurant/bar that has amazing staff. Meals are lovely and twice a week music accompanies you eating or just having a drink. We got up and danced it was so good. We will be back next year along with the other 3 couples that joined us in 2025. Thankyou Betsy and the team for a fun time

Lovely laid back place to stay. The beach bungalow was in an amazing position right on the lovely beach and picture perfect location! The happy hour (and a half was) with local singer was fun too each Friday. The restaurant on-site was good with big portions ( although they did need 2 goes to cook my chicken thoroughly, but rectified it very politely!) The snorkelling directly off the beach is as good as I have seen and so easy to do even for beginners

The location is unbeatable with the beach just next to the beach bungalows where you can do snorkeling with beautiful fish all day. They provide snorkling gear free so that is great. The onsite restaurant is good and the staff is generally helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is average but no complaints. Being able to book airport transfers is really helpful too. There is a 24/7 super market about 400m away which is really good. Overall we had a great stay.

The restaurant is said to be open till around 8. We are late eaters so we prefer late timeslots for dinner. Because they did not accept late timeslots we preffered getting take away orders. However, while the restaurant accepted most of our dinner takeaway orders, there was some reluctance and attitude shown when we placed orders which was not really comfortable. May be it was a special case but thought of sharing what we felt.
