Motel 6-Marysville, CA

Room had no sound insulation or insulation, heater worked but very loud. Did not get a good night sleep there, staff was not helpful.

The owners nickel and dime you. They wanted to charge us $17 to do a load of laundry. We booked 2 people, paid online and they made us pay an additional $20/night because of more than 1 person in the room or we could not check in! Guess you don’t pay that $20 they made extra money and have no guests.

The location was good and the grounds were tidy. The bed was very comfortable.

The room could have been cleaned better and the gentleman at the office was rude as all get out. Let me explain… I’m a professional housekeeper, so my standard of clean may be higher than some folks, but the walls, light switch plates, door knobs and chair backs were covered in oily fingerprints. The bathroom door itself around the handle and the door jam had lots of grime. I thought that maybe it was stained because the building was older, but to be sure, I took a Lysol wipe to the door handle and the door jam…the black grime wiped off…sooo… I also noted long, dark hair on the bathroom floors around the toilet and near the shower. The bath and hand towels also had plenty long hairs on them as well. We opted not to shower as we were just passing through and were going to be home the next day. Also, I should state that the gentleman at the front desk, an older gentleman, came across as very rude…almost put out or irritated that we needed a room. He repeated that we were not to damage the room or make a mess and that check out was at 11:00am, not a second later. I was very taken aback by his abrupt demeanor. There was also a surprise $20 CASH ONLY deposit that we were not aware of, so my husband had to go to an ATM and go get cash…this was around 8:00pm while a rain storm raged outside. The next morning as I went to check out (at 9am) the same older gentleman popped his head into the lobby from an adjacent room and said, “Yeah?” Very rudely. When I let him know that we were checking out, he sighed and stepped behind the desk and said, “Key.” I handed the key over and he silently fished around in a drawer for my $20 deposit and handed it back to me. I said, “Thank you.” And he said, “That’s all.” And walked back into the room adjacent to the lobby. What the heck? I had to laugh and roll my eyes at the rudeness as I left the lobby. They changed the reservation to the correct night. The daughter was very very nice. The parents not so much

I made a reservation and when checking in found out rhe reservation was for thw following night. They changed it. I requested a KING room, they gave me a double. The bed in the room I was given was horribly hard. Felt like i was sleeping on the ffoor

It was a place to stop.....

They apparently only take a cash deposit, no card. The unit had cockroaches and a general feel as if it was neglected. The window was covered by a wooden slat shutter inside that you can see through from the outside if someone stops to look in close enough, it had no blinds. WiFi was not working and it is in a spot of town with bad cell reception for me.
