The Railway Inn

The property was perfect for us, the location was spot on for everything that we wanted to do. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, We had an evening meal and it was delicious with plenty of choice and the breakfast was superb! The staff were so friendly and helpful I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay and we will definitely be returning at some point.

Great room, great breakfast. Amazing staff who couldn’t have been more accommodating.

As it had been a really tricky time, I chose lamb chops for dinner, as a special treat. I like them crispy and very well done - I don’t like flabby fat or pink meat. I requested this but despite asking to have them cooked more, they can back still bloody. Chef said he couldn’t cook them any more which I find bizarre.

Beds very big & comfy. Staff were fantastic, friendly & most helpful - couldn’t fault. We liked that we could see the steam railway pass the hotel, but it wasn’t so frequent that it disturb us.

The staff were lovely. Very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. We had 2 evening meals there which were very good. There was plenty of choice and specials every day. We enjoyed our short stay. Ideally situated for the whole of Torbay, Dartmoor and the ferry for Dartmouth.
