Loose fittings and fixtures, non-working lights. Being awoken at 4am because of a fault on the fire alarm. Poor quality breakfast, using past their use by date produce, and indifferent staff. The price for such a disappointing stay. The search continues for a decent borders stop-over..

Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of traditional and continental options as well as fresh fruit and yoghurts. The room we were allocated was lovely, cosy and clean - a little on the smaller side but nothing unmanageable. We travelled in for a wedding as was in good proximity to the venue (around 15/20 mins) via a local taxi firm. Staff were always smiling and happy to help, would definitely recommend to friends and family.

As said above, the room was lovely however compared to other rooms available at the establishment ours was on the smaller side but not unmanageable!

There was a wide choice for breakfast and friendly staff. The room was lovely and big and the bed was comfy.

There was noise through the wall from the kitchen/reception area. Also the light outside the room kept going on and off over night. It wasn’t a major issue but would have been good to sort those two things.

We were welcomed personally and taken to our room. The welcome letter in the room was very informative. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they were all exceptional. As a coeliac it was such a treat to have a choice with the chef providing a wonderful meal of fish and chips. Thank you so much to you all.

There was just one negative experience from our perspective in the dining room when we witnessed rudeness towards the staff. But credit to the staff involved the situation was dealt with professionalism and discretion. We just hope the customers involved reflected and apologised the following morning.

Wunderschönes Zimmer, welches mit Liebe eingerichtet wurde. Wir haben in der Lodge Abendessen und Frühstück genossen, welches wirklich sehr gut war. Der herrliche See, welchen wir auch vom Zimmer aus bewundern konnten, hat das Ambiente perfekt gemacht.

Das Hotel war verwinkelt und ohne Fahrstuhl. Mit unseren schweren Koffern war es daher nicht ganz einfach … aber der Umstand kann vernachlässigt werden, wenn man nur auf Durchfahrt ist.
