Arnica Views

We recently stayed at the Corabelle Cottage at Arnica Views Retreat, Mount Dandenong, for a long weekend. The cottage itself was spacious and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay, though the amenities seemed to be general rather than tailored to our specific cottage. The location was absolutely stunning — private, tranquil, and surrounded by nature. It truly felt like an escape from the real world, peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. As for breakfast, the booking stated it was “included,” but we were surprised to find just four eggs and a packet of processed ham in the fridge, not bacon as suggested. Not a major issue for us, as we had brought our own supplies, but worth clarifying for future guests.

There were a few areas that could use improvement. The cottage was not as clean as expected — there were cobwebs in the corners (even over the TV), visible dust, and the dishes were greasy, so we rewashed everything before use. A working salad bowl would have been a bonus! The wall-mounted heater/fireplace didn’t work, and the provided portable heater struggled to warm the open space downstairs. We were also limited to five pieces of wood per night, which made keeping warm a little tricky. The presence of a bug zapper in the dining area was also a bit off-putting. Better quality pillows and a couple of extra would have been nice. Would have prevented a stiff neck for 4 days after the stay.

Friendly staff, Gorgeous location near the summit, serenity, clean, privacy, beautiful forest scenery, good facilities ( especially the Spa bath), supplied robes.

Out of date cereal, no bottled water, no choice of coffee.

Very clean, loved the breakfast provided. We stayed in the manor. Loved the gas open fire and antique furniture. Off street parking with turning area was great. really close to the Skyhigh restaruant where our function was.

Ducted heated was not working and is shared with caretakers room with no controls in the room, it could have been warmer. Lock box for Arnica Views key was confusing because the redundant lockbox at reception is still there with 4 tumblers and we had a code with 3 numbers. If the caretaker hadn't helped us we could have still been there trying to get a code of 3 numbers to work in a lock box needing 4 numbers. Suggest removing the redundant lock box and explaining that the necessary box is outside of the Arnica Views room.

Was a beautiful property very nice I enjoyed it very much and the rain made it very more beautiful

That I didn’t stay longer there was nothing bad about the property at all it was as great as I thought it would be
