City Park Hotel Sochi

I with my family stayed in that hotel several times in the past two years. Positive: (1) towels and bedsheet are clean; (2) its location is perfect; (3) breakfasts (as well as lunches and suppers, if buy a package including those) are very good; the restaurant serving them has significantly better management and quality than the hotel itself; Negative: The hotel advertises four stars on it; it is certified by some state agency as a four-star hotel. In my view, the hotel's qualities correspond to a firm three stars. Specifically, I do not believe the four-star hotel can possibly have these: (1) long lines at the front desk around the time of checking-in; (2) no air conditioning at the lobby; (3) staff at the lobby cannot easily fugure out the number of days of the guest's paid reservation; (4) on one occasion the room where we were placed did not have working air conditioning (they quickly, within the minutes of our call, fixed it -- but it shows that the rooms do not go through the procedural checklist to prepare those rooms before assigning them to guests); (5) on one occasion, after spending one night in one hotel number, we had to ask to move us to another room due to some smell from air cond. system. (5) rooms are very small and ceiling is quite low. To be fair, the price reflects my suggestion about the fact that it is indeed the three-star hotel, not the four-star. I am ok staing there, it is just not honest to have that four-star plaque on the front of the building.

And laundry is free!

We picked one of the cheaper rooms at Marina Park- two single beds and a private bathroom. For the price and location, it was really a steal. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the beach was less than 4 minutes away (walking). The room could have been a little bit cleaner, but, again, we paid a very fair price. Perhaps the best part was the beautiful lobby. There was a 24 hour bar with great prices and very nice bartenders (props to Ilya for great conversation!). The lobby played every World Cup game, which created a really nice sense of community. I would definitely stay here again!

Bad manners form the hotel staff and managers. Dirty breakfast and USELESS internet. Avoid.

Modern facilities with good location and views, beach just 5 mins walk.

Close to everything. The common areas a modern and very nice. Free breakfast buffet is extensive. Some staff spokeEnglish. They will wash your clothes for free, very helpful on a long trip. Rooms were very dated, definitely need to renovate that area. Got a downgraded room from what I booked but was too tired to deal with the hassle of changing it. Overall pretty good

The room was not what we have booked on the web ! Previews guest left some dirty socks that cleaning services has miss and we founded in few places in the room ! The hotel stuff wasn't helpful at all to our issues I will not recommended this hotel to no one....!

Beautiful hotel. But the washroom need an upgrade.

Location of the hotel and the food were very good, but the Wi-Fi signal in the room and deck of restaurant was very poor, the carpet in the room was not very clean.
