The hotel is located in a remote area, which is definitely nice when you don't want to be in the center of society. The hotel location offers beautiful views of the surroundings, there are various attractions within easy reach, and the hotel restaurant serves excellent cuisine. The beach is not next to the hotel, but there are a few beaches nearby. However, the hotel has a great pool. Breakfast was extensive and suitable for all tastes. The only thing missing was the option to get coffee with milk substitute.

Coming up to half way on my hike of thw GR221 trail, and after a long and brutal descent into Deia, I needed somewhere to rest my feet and recharge. The Costa D'Or was fantastic, from the warm welcome (despite my dishevelled state), to my quiet lovely room with a sea view and comfortable bed. Both dinner and breakfast helped me refuel - the breakfast choice is extensive. Overall, I could not have asked for more.
