Really welcoming staff and amazing food. Certainly the best place to stay and eat in Marsden

Edge of village location with good views. Very nice room. Decent food but pricey

Lovely little country pub with rooms. We stayed in Serengeti room which was beautifully decorated. Lovely fluffy bath towels. We had lunch and dinner here which were both excellent. The full English breakfast was very good with quality produce. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

This is a lovely little pub with attached rooms, accessed through a side door. It looks like it was an old coaching inn and has easy access from the motorway. Lots of room for parking behind the building. The bar is warm and cozy. The food was excellent, both a Sunday roast dinner and the fresh cooked breakfast. The drive through West Yorkshire and the edges of the Peak District keeps you off the M62 and allows for a drive across the moors - stunning scenery, wild reservoirs and small villages tucked away in the valleys.

The meal downstairs was amazing and the staff there were wonderful I have nothing negative to say about that at all,however the room was a different story,me and my husband have stayed twice before in different rooms which were great,this time we were put in the Serengeti room,the bathroom was really disappointing,they have painted the walls with what looks like one coat of paint and haven’t finished the job so it looks scruffy,also there were thick cobwebs around the ceiling in the bathroom too,our bedside lamp did not have a bulb,we asked for one but didn’t get one,this was a special birthday treat for us and it was really disappointing,also our brekfast was brought to our room in the morning and the egg was burnt and hard,I would have thrown it in the bin and started again!!that should not have been served to a customer end of!

Fleeting visit to holmfirth and the midlands using olive branch as a base. Really well hosted by staff.

This was a welcome luxurious rest after day two of a walking holiday. The bath was great, the bed very comfortable and the food was delicious.

Very nice clean well organised little place rooms frewr size tea coffe etc. Bed veey comfortable and a lovely breakfast

I arrived late and left early so very little to comment on really. Beer was good, crisps expensive.
