The apartment and facilities are in desperate need of a renovation and a deep clean. A proper clean would have been appreciated prior to arrival. The bathroom had an ant infestation which was rather unpleasant and got worse as the days passed. The furnishings were very old and tired and many of the drawers were broken. I didn’t dare open any cupboards as I didn’t want to see what they were like inside! The carpets were filthy and the soles of my slippers were disgusting after three days, subsequently they got thrown in the bin. The two irons did not work: one didn’t heat up and the second just leaked filthy brown water, even after I tried to clean it. The ironing board was totally covered in stains and not what you would want to iron freshly washed clothes on. Just because no one irons their clothes in Queensland, doesn’t excuse not having working and clean appliances. As per the Booking.com description, there were no free toiletries, only remnants of what previous guests had left. The apartments were not sound proofed. There was no telephone, no alarm clock and no bed side lamps. When I asked for a light bulb for the two lamps that were in the kitchen cupboard - oh yes, I did open a cupboard, but that was the first and last time I did so. I was given a different old lamp that was only fit for the recycling centre. Needless to say I didn’t even touch it, it was so disgustingly filthy, thank goodness it was left outside the unit for me and that’s where it stayed. I’ve stayed in many apartments all over the world and just because it was inexpensive, does not excuse dusty and unclean facilities.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well presented. Very peaceful with no noise transferred from neighbouring apartments. Several cafe/restaurant & bottle shop options and beach were all within an easy walking distance.

Our apartment's main bedroom's ceiling fan and aircon were both quite noisy in operation so couldn't be used while sleeping. Crossing the quite steep gutter to park in our apartment's designated carpark was a concern for our 2 x motorcycles access/egress.

The apartment is very spacious for our family (4 people) and well equipped.

The family room lights are not bright enough for our liking. Apart from that we are good.
