Food is absolutely amazing

Our stay was excellent, rooms are very well set out and clean. The food in the restaurant is exceptional as are the staff

Rooms were tiered, the restaurant provided great food and reasonable prices but there was no where to relax with a drink.

Pillow's were flat.....no1 there when i checked in had to go looking for someone.....was given the swab key but not shown how to use it again had to go get someone

Its difficult to give a full review of the Windmill hotel, as I didn't end up staying. The wasn't anyone at the reception - just an air horn to summon staff. A notice sellotaped to the counter advising guests that abuse/shouting at staff would not be tolerated; prompting the questions how many people feel the need to complain that vociferously at the staff, and why? Dirty pillows, dirty bathroom. Fan heater for warmth. I stayed as long as it took me to book another room at the Travelodge, and left my keys at the reception, because there was still no staff. Car park was good though.

This is not a dislike more of a light-hearted observation. Where did they procure the tea & coffee cups from? Was it a dolls house emporium they are a tad small to say the least

We didn't come here for the accommodation but rather the restaurant (Sambuca) the hotel side was a bonus. The hotel side is basic and a little tired but clean enough and serves its purpose as pit stop. Room facilities are a mix of could do better and oh that's nice eg full size ironing board and iron, and full size kettle. Could do better - tv and Internet connection failed, no hangers. In conclusion would I stay here again if I was returning to the restaurant- likely otherwise not a destination hotel. Staff were lovely got to say.

Staff was very friendly & helpful plenty of choice to eat in the restaurant, down sides there was a work station in the room but no chair to sit on to work, TV was very hit and miss it is free view and most of the channels didn’t work toilet roll was just placed on the top of the holder which is very lazy by housekeeping. Bed had sharp wooden corners on it which I caught my shin on 3 or 4 times I’m sure it would be easy enough to make the corners round instead of sharp
