Likuri Island Resort Fiji

I travelled with my partner from Australia, and our stay at Likuri was truly exceptional. Every day, all meals were prepared and served on time as scheduled. The staff are outstanding; words cannot express the excellent work they do. Throughout the day, a wide variety of activities are available, ranging from basket weaving with palm leaves and visits to the local village, to snorkelling, play volleyball. Alternatively, you can choose to relax on the beach or by the pool, enjoy a massage at the spa, or take a walk around the island, which is absolutely beautiful. Both the sunrise and the sunset are breathtaking. In the evenings, the resort offers multiple activities, and three times a week, it presents the Legends of the Pacific show, featuring traditional and fire dancing as the main attractions. The food prepared in the Lovo is delicious and truly representative of traditional island cuisine. Overall, the entire Likuri staff are incredible—warm, friendly, and welcoming—making you feel so comfortable that you truly do not want to leave. We are divers, and the staff kindly assisted us in organising our diving activities as well as all related transfers, making the experience seamless and stress-free. I would only recommend bringing your own internet access if it is truly necessary; otherwise, embrace the opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature and the people around you. A beautiful getaway down the river on the Coral Coast. We spent two days on Likuri Island and this was our experience: What to Expect This island was established mainly for day tours, so expect lots of day-trip guests coming in and out throughout the day. Snorkeling by the reef didn’t offer much marine life, as coral bleaching is very prevalent. Pool and beach towels must be collected from reception. Only room towels are provided in the accommodation. Positives The friendly staff were very accommodating. We wanted to play volleyball and the staff easily arranged this whenever they had time during the day, despite their busy schedules. It never hurts to ask! The entertainment was outstanding. I was thoroughly impressed, especially knowing that it’s the staff themselves who put on the shows. They are incredibly multitalented, and you can clearly see the time and effort they put into perfecting their craft—especially the fire dancing. We stayed in a beachfront bure and it was perfect. The room felt new or recently renovated, with an indoor toilet and an outdoor bathroom, which we loved. Could Be Better The food was average. Some days were good, others not so much. I had listed dietary requirements on my waiver, but unfortunately nothing was done about it. At the very least, food labels would have been helpful, as I had to keep going to the kitchen staff to ask what ingredients were used to avoid foods I’m allergic to. Receiving clean bath towels daily would have been appreciated. Although room cleaning doesn’t happen every day, fresh towels would have helped. We tried drying our towels in the sun, but due to bad weather/ rain they stayed damp most days. There was no farewell song. This wasn’t a major issue for me personally, but we had five other guests who were expecting to be serenaded before departure. At the time, the staff were busy entertaining the day tours, so perhaps finding a better balance between day tour guests and overnight resort guests would improve the experience. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would return with family and friends. Maybe just managing expectations and hopefully these small changes could really go a long way to making the experience better.

The beach beure was great - super clean and comfy - comes with a big bottle of water. Bathroom was also beautiful. Kayaking around the island was really nice! It was Nice peaceful stay and 24 hours was the perfect time to be there. The staff make you feel welcome (minus the bar lady).

If you dont do the buffet style menu- $130 you can pick from menu. We dont eat alot so $45 a meal is steep. Cafe menu closes at 5pm- we werent advised of this but they kindly still cooked for us just after 5pm. I ordered a chicken wrap and there was hardly any chicken in it whatsoever. For $25 this was poor. Boat transfer at $130 pp is also $$$ The cost of food and drinks are alot. No happy hour. The islands only 30 minutes from mainland.

Our little family have just had wonderful 4 night stay at Likuri Island over the new year. Wow! What an incredible experience. The best new year I have ever had. Excellent cultural activities, mesmerising shows, very hospitable staff in a gorgeous island location. This is the place to be if you would like to learn about Fijian culture in a relaxed and unpretentious environment. Suitable for singles, couples and families.

We stayed in a family bure which was great for our needs (a king bed & 2 singles). No air conditioning but the large fan and the island breeze kept us cool. We couldn’t flush the toilet a couple of times. There are cabins on the island that do have air conditioning.

The fire show and dancing were the best in all of Fiji. Shower soap was so smooth and had a wonderful fragrance. Everyone was so helpful and super friendly. The daily schedule was easy to find and kept us busy all day long.

Snorkeling was disappointing. Not Much to see at all. Travel to the jetty was not marked well enough. We got lost trying to find the jetty and missed our boat.

This was a great family beach vacation on a private Fijian island! Mornings were quiet for beach hikes, kayaking or relaxing in the warm ocean. During the day, they have lots of planned included activities like jewelry making and basket weaving. On certain days they have island entertainment at night! The staff (Sam, Crystal, Tooks and others!) were super friendly and helpful! Say hi to Tuesday the cat!

As a LGBTQIA+ couple, we felt accepted safe and happy here. Wonderful! Making coconut jewellery and snorkelling were all included - the sunset cruise at no extra feee and weaving classes to boot! The dinners and shows were so fun - loved everything!!! Thankyou (Vinyaka)
