The Bell Inn

The room was beautifully appointed and cosy. The pub staff and owner were very helpful and friendly and the pub dog, Finley was adorable.

Beautiful room and location. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly and went the extra mile to give us a wonderful honeymoon. Can't recommend them enough!

The pub was busy when we arrived, but the staff stepped away from the bar to help us get settled. The breakfast was good with made to order English breakfast options.

It is a pub after all and the noise and activity is to be expected. No problems with noise at all after 22:00.

The well aged character of The Bell and the spaciousness of the rooms and outdoor gathering areas. Breakfast included Continental options as well as a full hot made to order breakfast. Staff members were very helpful and informative.

There were no clear instructions about how to check in – – we asked at the bar and realized that was the place to check in. It would be wonderful if The Bell offered a complimentary drink and help to haul luggage up the stairs to the second floor before asking for payment in full before seeing the room.

Location was very good , close to the railway and bus stops . The staff were excellent. We asked the landlord if we could leave our luggage after check out and was very happy to do this . This was a very big help.

We stayed in the premium en suite - very spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom clean and a good shower. The breakfast was great, and the pub dog a great feature

Nothing- it was upstairs if that matters.

Great location, free parking (park elsewhere on market day). 5 minutes walk from the station. Hosts John and Deborah were very helpful. They accommodated my friend with soya milk GF bread and even their own chilli flakes for our breakfasts. We had a twin room, it wasn’t massive but big enough for our 3 night stay. What I would stay is that it was excellent value and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Really nice restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.
