"Cosy stay"

Cosy stay in a historic building, I did not realise at the time of booking that this place was the inspiration for ‘the prancing pony’ in Lord of the Rings. Staff were very friendly and polite, breakfast was nice too and included in our reservation.

Very comfortable place to stay, comfy beds, great staff, nice breakfast that was included and made to order. Close to everything, train station, restaurants, stores, shops. I would recommend the Bell Inn and would stay there again. It was Nice to have the house dog Finnerty around. Lovely garden to sit outside and enjoy. Loved having live music at the pub on our last night there.

"Friendly staff but the hotel rooms we stayed in are terrible for the lack of soundproofing."

Friendly staff, lovely garden and view of the church next to the hotel.

We had two rooms right over the restaurant / bar. The floors are so thin we could literally her what people were saying. There were loud groups so lots of noise, impossible to sleep before midnight. We had to get up early so not a good experience. Also, floors are completely slanted so you almost fall over when you get out of bed at night. Almost no water pressure in the showers. Feels like a restaurant with some rooms added, not a proper hotel.

Main road location, but not a problem. Full English breakfast was excellent. Rooms and facilities excellent. All Staff top class, Charlotte even recommended a taxi company and sent their details. Would definitely recommend and we would go back if in area again.
