Broadlands Hotel - Adults Only

As status go, this is easily the worse one. Here goes it. Friendliness. There are two owners and a lady that works for them. She is extremely nice. One of the owners however was very difficult to deal with over the phone. When I introduced myself on the phone to enquire about something, and asked whom am I speaking to, he replied that I am speaking to Broadlands Guest House’. You’d think that’d be normal. This is after I have asked about the first owner by name! Organisation. We visited post-lockdown restrictions. The whole message as to what we can and can’t do was confusing. We received three different messages about breakfast and where and how we can have it. Firstly, we were told that we’d be having it in the rooms. I slightly protested because only my nieces eat in bed. But then you succumb to it, due to the situation. There was also confusion with what will be provided for breakfast. For example we were told they won’t be serving fresh coffee. When we arrived we called up to leave a message we won’t be having breakfast. One of the owners arrived and made a deal out of it. Breakfast. Cutlery, plates, table covered in dust. Milk arrived, dust inside the milk jar! Choice was only around English breakfast. No fruit offering, no water offering. Cleanliness. The room was not ventilated despite the multiple windows. Two fingers dust were covering the entire room and it’s furniture. I started cleaning and rang up to ask someone to do their job and to vacuum up.

Friendly owner welcome and good chef with nice breakfast. A little dated but very clean and comfortable and would stay again.

Set in a very good spot to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Bourton. Lovely walks to be had in the area. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in the area too plus you are made to feel very welcome at all. A very nice breakfast at the accommodation which sets you up for the day and exploring the area. Bed comfortable. Only one thing no mixer taps in bathroom otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Friendly, affordable, quiet, great for couples, lovley place to relax, beds super comfy, TVs are a little small but we didnt soend a lot of time in the room.

Very over-priced for quality of room. I was very surprised that the property had received good reviews previously. Admittedly it was booked last minute, but the room was pretty scabby and dated. Bathroom wasn't very clean and the bathroom suite needs updating. The tv is about the size of my phone and breakfast was not available at the property. Overall a very underwhelming stay for the price paid. Had I paid half the price I would have thought fair enough but at nearly £200 a night it was massively overpriced for the quality..

No breakfast, broken light bulbs, no one to be seen or contacted to fix.

Room generally very good. Nobody on site apart from guests. Check in failed to mention front door key. Television very small but no matter as it was continuosly without a signal so no reception. N one available to report it to. No breakfast available although on hotel features but only revealed not available after booking and no cancellation with refund after booking made. Extremely poor and tant amount to misrepresentation.

The property was in Keeping with the local area, it was almost like going back in time

Located 5 minutes scenic walk from town, great place for short stay ideal to discover the wolds. Very friendly staff,, brilliant breakfast cooked fresh.
