Estepona Hotel & Spa Resort

This was my second visit to this hotel, this time I brought my mother for a short break. We stayed for 8 days. Rooms are spacious and clean with fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The balcony with sea view was well used on an evening. The hotel was reasonable quiet and although people did reserve beds early in the morning, a policy not allowed in the adult section, we didn’t have any problem finding beds at any time. We were delighted that in August we were still able to sit by the pool until 8 pm watching the sun set. The restaurant had plenty of selection, breakfast was particularly good, with chocolate fountain for those with a sweet tooth. We found all staff friendly and spoke when passing in the corridor. Parking was available. The pool area was clean and water lovely, I didn’t find it quite so warm in October which was the time of my previous visit so my toe was the only part of me that went in then. Location is great, on the outskirts of Estepona, but the centre itself and marina are easily accessible. We visited Ronda, Mijas and Gibraltar all within easy reach. My only minor criticism is the charge for water at dinner although I believe this is common in Spain. €3 for sparking and €2.75 for still a glass of wine wasn’t much more expensive, although I don’t drink alcohol. However I would definitely return and my mother is already planning a visit with her friends.

Extensive facilities, including large pools, bars & 2 restaurants with decent choice of fresh food, although somewhat chaotic breakfasts - food offerings spread slightly randomly around canteen, single bottleneck door between main dining area & outside seating. Large, comfortable but somewhat basic air-conditioned rooms, almost unfinished (no lighting over bath/shower in our en suite, shower head over corner of bath with defective head). Staff mostly very friendly & helpful, particularly in Reception - one incident when child's burger took 1 hour to arrive, restaurant staff & manager seemed unable to remove from the bill, but found a way when they realised we didn't intend to pay. Parking at extra cost, but not unreasonable - kept hire car cool, although nearest lift to underground car park wasn't working.

Excellent staff. Excellent breakfast with big variety. Basic dinner. Basic pool bar. No sun beds on the beach possibly to early in the season. Kids club less than basic. Some activities for adults but not anything major. But overall room and hotel were great.

Excellent twin balcony room. Stayed extra night. Saturday. Price hike a lot. Avoid weekends if at all possible.

All in all, a wonderful large hotel on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea. This breakfast is to die for! The rooms have a wonderful view of the Sea, and the balcony is nice. There is a nice boardwalk nearby to stroll and the service is outstanding. The only complaint would be the entertainment offered in the evenings on the hotel premise. They can be a bit loud and late. So if traveling with small kids, this could be an issue, although we enjoyed it.

Good choice for families with children. Clean and large rooms opening to green area. Good service I definatelly recommend. Close to many attractions with a hired car.

Very nice, huge room

One nighter en route from Malaga to Gibraltar. A good hotel but not exceptional. Would happily stay again subject to the room rate, normally expensive for star status.

Well appointed. Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
