ESDEDEDEDEFreundliches Personal, Direkter Zugang zum Strand, Reichhaltiges Buffet. Obwohl das Hotel ausgebucht war das Reservierungsteam bereit uns ein anderes Zimmer anzubieten wegen der lauten Musik jeden Abend im Innenhofbereich - unterhalb der Junior-Suiten - das war eine tolle Leistung!
Das Hotel ist ein bisschen im die Jahre gekommen, dies ist hauptsächlich in den Zimmern zu erkennen. Man sollte hier nachrüsten. Auch die WLAN Verbindung lässt zu Wünschen übrig. Die Zimmer und Suiten im Bereich des Restaurants sind sehr laut. Vor allem findet jeden Abend Live-Musik statt, wer das nicht mag, hat ein Problem, da man 80 - 100 Decibel bei geöffneten Fenster bis ca 23 Uhr ertragen muss. Wenn man früh schlafen will, ist das etwas schwierig - auch bei geschlossenen Fenster. Aufgrund der abentlichen Lautstärke haben wir die Unterkunft gewechselt.
We stayed 10 nights at Iberostar Selection Andalucía Playa and enjoyed our time, but the hotel feels more like a four-star property dressed up as a five-star. The food was generally good, though more “cruise ship quality” than fine dining. The meat-grilling station at dinner was a nice touch—they’d cook your steak or pork fresh—but most other dishes were just okay. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. For a five-star resort, the coffee from the machine was terrible, even the cappuccino. You’d expect a good coffee at the very least, but that wasn’t the case here. Service was polite, but not as attentive as you’d hope at this level. Nobody asked how our stay was when we checked out, for example. Still, the staff at dinner were friendly when we interacted with them and helped us choose a nice wine. Room cleaning was quick, though not always thorough. The pools looked stunning, but the large main pool was absolutely freezing—almost unusable unless the day was hot. The smaller heated pool was nice but usually full of kids. Beach access was excellent, and our semi-private pool right outside the room was a real highlight, even if the temperature sometimes fluctuated. We were half-board and took a lot of day trips thanks to the great location. Overall, we had a very nice stay—but compared to other four-star hotels we’ve visited, this one didn’t quite reach true five-star standards.
