"Location and amenities are great!"

It was a girlfriend's getaway and it was our first time in Amelia Island. We picked this hotel because of its location and it was ideal. We could walk everywhere in the historic district which is full of shops, galleries, museums and restaurants. The staff at the hotel was friendly and the included breakfast was good. The breakfast lounge was clean and comfortable overlooking the pool. We stayed in a suite with a balcony overlooking 2nd street. It was lovely! Main Beach is about a 10 minute drive as is Fort Clinch State Park which is historic and has several trails. This is THE place to stay in downtown Fernandina Beach!

"Not Your Usual Hampton Inn, In a Very Good Way"

Probably our favorite Hampton Inn we've ever stayed at (multiple times, multiple seasons) and that's saying something considering we've driven cross country 4 times staying in Hilton Properties! Yes, there are train tracks nearby and you may be awakened in the morning by the gate bells and train horn but the location and views and hospitality more than make up for that. Friendly staff, warm cookies at check in, nightly hospitality gathering and breakfast included are nice touches. This boutique hotel is walking distance for great food and drink options in a charming town just right for exploring when the weather is right. Drinks around the pool at sunset can't be beat!

"Great location with friendly staff"

We arrived early and our selected room wasn’t ready, but the nice woman working the desk upgraded us to a suite that was ready! Our suite had a view of the water - lots of sailboats to watch and also American Cruise Lines ships coming and going. This is an older hotel but still nice. One design flaw is that there is no door to block the light over the sink area which is outside the toilet/shower area. Makes it hard at night if sharing a room. Breakfast buffet had everything you could think. Food was good. We were greeted by a very friendly woman. Location is excellent. Center St is just around the corner and filled with shops, restaurants and bars. We ate at Espana and had excellent food.

"Qiuick stop some where new on our way down to visit family"

Location is fantastic.

Close to railroad track. Train ran twice during the night. While we could hear the train and its whistle it didn’t keep us up.
