We did not like the attitude of the lady at the reception. She gave our friends an upgrade room for free and wanted us to pay 18000 Kronos for the same. While the whole chalet was free. Now we end up very far apart with only 1 car, it is very inconvenient. It is about the attitude and principle. Nice to give an upgrade but then you need to upgrade the whole group. I will not come back.

"Beautiful stay on our Honeymoon"

We stayed here for one night as we were traveling around Iceland for our honeymoon trip. The room was fantastic, my wife compared it to “Bella and Edward’s honeymoon suite form Twilight” Such a romantic feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered us a couple free drinks at dinner to celebrate our honeymoon. Speaking of dinner, we had the 3 course tasting menu and it was fantastic. Wonderful hotel, staff, and food.

This was our first trip to Iceland and Hotel Grimsborgir was amazing. The place was nice and clean, the staff were friendly, and the included breakfast every morning was definitely a plus. I would absolutely stay here again!

Grimsborgir is a very large, older hotel. We had no bath towels in our room when we arrived. The front desk was very quick to deliver some after we notified them. There was a wicker chair on our patio that had a very large hole in the seat. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good. Overall just OK.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Grimsborgir by Keahotels. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable, and the outdoor hot tubs made the experience even more relaxing. Hot tub water was a bit too hot so be careful with that. Bathrobes and slippers were nice addition. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh options, and the peaceful countryside setting was perfect for enjoying Icelandic nature. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We arrived at 9 pm and they still served us very delicious dinner. A perfect hotel for exploring the Golden Circle while enjoying a quiet luxury retreat.
