The Vila itself was quite nice with plenty of room for a group of up to about 6-8 people, and was dog friendly (for a fee of €47 per week). It has a garden which was especially great for the dog, and the communal area was well looked after and maintained. There was also a nice swimming pool, with a bar/cafe next door. Hats off to the staff that run the bar/cafe, they were amazing and made the best croissants & pain au chocolats I’ve ever had!

On arrival we were told we had to pay for bed sheets at €12 per bed, this wasn’t communicated to us beforehand but they insisted it should have been. This could have been an issue with booking.com rather than them, but I still didn’t expect to have to pay for them. The same was with the towels, however we opted to just buy towels from a local shop. We also had to pay a €300 deposit with the expectation that we had to clean the whole Vila otherwise a cleaning fee would be taken from the deposit. WiFi was also non-existent. When we asked when it would be fixed on Saturday when we arrived, we were told it would be fixed tomorrow. This was the same story until Wednesday evening until it finally worked with very weak internet. As I was working I just ended up using my own hotspot even when the WiFi was working. There was very little English communication and my French isn’t the greatest, which made things a quite difficult. The gym was less of a gym and more of a closet with some left over exercise equipment, most of which was broken. However, although I have a few bad things here, if you’re wanting to relax and switch off from the outside world, it is actually a really nice place to be.

The house was dirty and smelled very damp - the kitchen equipment was particularly grubby. The sofa cover was torn and dirty - did not want to sit on it.

Spacious.Since I was already late, I called and they left me an envelope with all the instructions and the key to the house.

needs redecoration. no air conditioning. somewhat complicated to find the house if you arrive at night. the parking space assigned to me was occupied. Separate bathroom with sink and shower. When you leave, you have to pick up the sheets, put them in a bag and take them to reception. Also, before leaving, you have to wait for a person who checks the house in case there are any damages. You have to take your rubbish with you when you leave and leave it in the reception bins.
