Awesome place to stay. Staff are wonderful. Food, cocktails and rooms are great. Right by the beach with hammocks to watch the whales and swim. Will definately come back here again.

6 couple trip for a 60th birthday. Lovely adults-only (15yrs +) resort with great facilities and beach access. Very clean and well-appointed rooms, two pools, good restaurant and happy hour bar. On the beach with a beautiful view across the lagoon and amazing sunsets. Watched whales cruising past off-shore and snorkeled in the lagoon. Near to a couple of good restaurants, the local brewery, and a bakery. Bus stops outside and there are scooters for hire as well. Great service by the friendly team, can’t recommend this place highly enough!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most incredible 10-day stay at Sunset Resort – easily one of the best travel experiences we've had! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our holiday. The room was spotless and immaculately cleaned daily by the fantastic housekeeping team, and we appreciated the in-room compendium that made settling in effortless. The entire resort is beautifully maintained – the grounds are manicured daily, creating a lush and peaceful atmosphere. We especially loved The Anchorage Restaurant – the meals were delicious, well-priced, and always served with a smile. The Birdcage Bar became our go-to for happy hour, and the adults-only setting of the resort made it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. We visited several other resorts during our trip for meals or drinks, and none of them came close to matching the experience we had at Sunset. And of course, the name says it all – the sunsets each evening were absolutely magical. Huge thanks to Kevin and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return!

We loved our stay here, a beautiful and quiet place to really relax. We had a brilliant poolside room with plenty of space, great place to hang out on the lounger outside. Loved the beach being so close with the loungers and the hammocks, an extremely beautiful spot. We even saw an incredible display from the whales one evening on the beach. Really appreciated the free laundry facilities along with a washing line - brilliant! Friendly staff, lovely place to be, could have stayed much longer. This is the only place I'd stay when I go back to Rarotonga.

Beautiful Resort, friendly staff. Good location on Island. Large Rooms. We stayed with a group of 14, plenty of room for all.

Excellent service. Small resort with very helpful and friendly staff and all the amenities you could wish for. Beautiful beach and views. The birdcage bar was great with cocktail specials each day. Basic breakfast, but you can purchase a cooked breakfast if you want. We went for a 60th birthday and the resort gifted us a lovely bottle of bubbly with a lovely card. Two good sized pools if you prefer to swim in a pool. We would definitely recommend. We went down the road to the Edgewater Resort one night, and felt like we had walked into a Disney Resort - busy, stressed staff. The Sunset Resort was a much more relaxed, friendly atmosphere with a real Island vibe. Coffee lovers -take some coffee - coffee press supplied, but they supply a limited amount of ground coffee and then you have to purchase.

This resort was the perfect size. Small enough to have a boutique feel where the staff call you by name and peaceful beach vibes but big enough to have two pools, great little bar with a daily happy hour, mini bus transfers and a great restaurant. There is also good snorkelling right off the beach.

As a couple stayed in this lovely resort for 7 nights. Loved everything about this adults only resort. The resort fronts a crystal clear lagoon with easy snorkeling. Could not find more friendly staff from the beautiful ladies on reception who could not be more accommodating and helpful to the garden, housekeeping and maintenance staff. Our villa was large, modern and spotlessly clean. The public bus stop is just outside the resort and a great bakery across the road. The Anchorage restaurant on site is really good and the staff so friendly. Highly recommend Sunset for a great holiday in Rarotonga.
