Knysna Country House

Great host, great security, great location, great breakfast. Everything Great!!!!! You will not be disappointed.

This excellent country house has all the home comforts and we were made to feel so welcome. Thank you for a great stay. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight. Location out of town so a car is essential.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the rooms were clean and comfortable, we were close to all the important places we wanted to visit, the food was great and the owners were helpful and accomodating. They also gave us some great advice about traveling onwards which was incredibly useful. We would recommend this B&B to anyone and would stay there again without hesitation.

The Knysna Country House is solid 4 out of 5 star B & B. The facility is located on a beautiful property with a wonderful deck and pool area. It's an excellent place to relax and/or to use as a home base in the Kynsna /Plettenberg Bay area. We stayed in the family suite which had two bedrooms and a small sitting area. The suite is perfect for a family of 4 or 5. It has two bedrooms and a large bathroom. We would highly recommend this hotel/ B&B for anyone who wants to spend a few day's in and around Knysna and appreciates a well run, professional B&B.

We were in the Self catering apartment, this was spacious and well equipped with washing machine, fridge freezer and washing line and digital TV channels. the apartment was quite dated,and the carpet in the living room was quite stained, there was also damp in the apartment so either windows open all day, or dehumidifer on. The rest of the shared facilities were excellent, pool beautiful, very clean area with lovely gardens. We would go back again but not to the Self catering unit as this needs updating ASAP!

Very nice place, owners are very helpfull and nice. They have a big garden with a swimmingpool and a beautiful view.

Uns hat das Hotel bzw. B & B sehr gut gefallen. Sehr sympatische Gastgeber - wir haben uns sehr gut verstanden. Wuerde ich jederzeit wieder besuchen - absolut zu empfehlen !

We drove around South Africa on a JNB-Kruger-Drakensburg-EastLondon-Knysna-CapeTown-Kalahari-JNB roundtrip. We chose Knysna as the place to stay for the night on our way to Cape Town via the Garden route. The room was clean and comfortable. We had only two issues. One, the room is part of a house with no independent entrance. We didn't know this. Second, we arrived hungry around 8PM in the night. We wanted to go have dinner and come back by 9:30-10pm. Our hostess was in a hurry to go to bed herself and couldn't wait to be done with the business end of it. Also, the hotel shows up as a 5 star property. By no stretch of imagination is it a 5 star propertly. However, if you are looking for an affordable place to stay and you don't mind the negs above then we would definitely recommend it.

This guesthouse in Knysna lies a little bit outside the town itself and a car is needed to get around. The location itself is very peaceful, the surroundings are clean and views beautiful. The property is well kept although the rooms already show some signs of wear. The best thing in this place however is the very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The couple running this guesthouse was extremely kind, warm and helpful. We truly felt ourselves welcome and because of this fact we can certainly see ourselves staying there during our next visit also.

Guest house breakfast, cleanliness and hotel bar was great. Since there was not to many guests at the moment, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room. Very helpful staff, who recommended a restaurant with (unexpectedly) great sushi.
