We had a delightful stay at Licuala Lodge…a calm oasis in the rainforest and only a couple of minutes drive from Mission beach. The gardens and pool were fabulous and the cassowary that wandered through the grounds was an added bonus. All the rooms had a relaxing balcony to sit on, the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious to wake up to every morning…fresh bread, local jams, eggs, yoghurt, fresh tropical fruit and lots more. In particular a big thank you to our hosts who went out of their way to enhance our stay. They were both warm and helpful which added to the beautiful surroundings and made our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely location and excellent hosts and great homemade breakfast. Lots of wildlife and easy access to Mission Beach

Poor soundproofing between rooms. We heard our neighbours coughing and talking and their alarm clock going off super early!

The location is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. We saw five cassowaries during our stay.

We were lucky to be the only guests, so we had the place to ourselves. The rooms are side-by-side so if it had been full I would have felt a little too close to my neighbors.
