Had a very comfortable stay at Midlands Motel Taree — the rooms were clean and well-maintained, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the location was very convenient. Great value for money and a pleasant, hassle-free experience overall.

We had a fantastic stay at Midlands Motel and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and welcoming everything was. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well equipped, making it a perfect stopover during our trip. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a long drive. One of the highlights was the lovely riverside setting — enjoying a morning coffee while overlooking the River and watching the pelicans was truly relaxing. The location is excellent, with restaurants and shops just a short walk away, yet the motel still feels peaceful and quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall experience offered excellent value for money. Parking right outside the room made everything convenient, and the facilities had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Midlands Motel to anyone visiting Taree — a hidden gem for travellers looking for comfort, convenience, and great views.

The best part was leaving, driving away early in the morning.

I booked and paid for a Deluxe Queen room with views of the river, on arrival our “host” insisted I had only paid for a standard room so we were directed to the smallest, darkest, saddest, worst motel room I can remember. I can’t recall a worse room. There were wires dangerously dangling from the broken light, cockroaches on the floor, broken and damaged fittings. The TV didn’t work because there was no way of attaching it to an antenna, it just sat on the bench next to another broken wall-mounted TV with more cables hanging off the wall. Yes, I have photos and confirmation of my original booking which will be forwarded to authorities.

Room clean and suited our stay

Older motel, definitely seen better days, which we expected given Taree is now bypassed by the motorway, but kept clean and tidy, inside and out . The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for river view room and were not disappointed in the view, the river was right there outside big windows. We’d stay there again.

Great location, room had a view of the river. Quite a lot of space in the room, great to have a table and arm chair. Bathroom roomy with bath and shower. Overall an excellent room.
