There is nothing i like about this property there is no hot water wifi is no good bathroom is old and need mentains shower curtains dirty and not much food options was a bad experience

We like to spend our time on the beach & we did that on this holiday. The beach loungers are in very poor condition. For the most, many are broken, the cloth loungers are filthy. Plan to bring along a pad for your comfort on the hard loungers. Be prepared to get a set of daily hassles from very pushy venders. A simple no thank you may not always work. The food services is very restrictive with a schedule that goes like these starting times: Breakfast 8:30AM, Lunch 1:30PM, Dinner 7:30PM. This times are not always on time and maybe later or earlier depending when the cook puts out the food. There is never any snacks. The quality of the food was poor to okay. Get there early as they will run out of many things and will not replace them. We enjoy Jamaican food, but again it will depend on what surprises the cook has make. We did not have the boosted Lobster meal as it was cancelled on the Friday which it was to be made / served. The bar is poorly stocked with the few basics but runs out almost daily as if scheduled. Rum, Gin, Vodka, Brandy and Beer. Various mixes, Soda pop are also things that run out. Many guests had gone out and bought their own supplies as well as food & snacks. The sit up pool bar was not being used during our stay. The room we had ( 109A) was a basic, with two twine beds, one night stand, two chairs, a desk, a hid abed, a pole for hanging cloths, a key safe, bathroom with shower & sink. The towels are in poor conditions when changed. We experienced the water being turned off during the day, much like Cuba. Plan accordingly & have some water on hand just in case. The outside sitting area is small (has a small table & 2 chairs), over looking the walk way, the pool and walk way. The furniture in the room and as well as in the eating area is very dated and some is broken. For example the automated toaster in the eating area is broken but is put out to be used by guests daily. Almost a laughable joke on the guest by the resort. Many guests struggled with it until they decided to just not bother after the fist toaster puzzle experience. The beach is the prize.

First I will say location Location! Location! I don’t consider myself high maintenance but after spending the day on beautiful 7 mile beach I want to have a nice hot shower to get all the sand and my lotion off well good luck with that as most days we were lucky to have hot water. Then we realized if we could handle the cold water in about. 10-15 minutes some hot water would appear than it would start to trickle out. The place needed a lot of upkeep but our room was kept clean by the maids everyday. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our birthdays and on the day of my birthday they had made up a cool looking swan wearing my sun glasses with a shower towel.”Pool/beach bar” looks like hasn’t been used in years. Food okay, not an abundance, little variety.

3rd visit for me,view gets better each time. Did absolutely nothing but enjoy the beach and antics of locals. Room was clean,hot water when needed, food was plentiful with lots of fruit and vegetable dishes,at least 2 choices of protein,lobster was a nice treat. When had to be in room,lots of TV channels to pick from,but who wants to be in a room in Jamaica?? Making plans for next year,will bring a blow up floatee to make the loungers more comfortable. Less clothes,no need to dress up at this place,just be yourself!! Enjoy the hospitality and warm weather!

We booked this resort because of the price and location!! Read lots of negative reviews but only chronic complainers do negative reviews! Room was very clean, food was way better than expected, beach was 10 out of 10! Staff was amazing! Cheeresa the massage therapist on the beach was the best ever! Steve the taxi man took us to Black River and Ys falls! He’s wonderful! We had one evening when we had a 5 hour power outage, staff made the best of it we had a wonderful candlelight lobster dinner and the entertainer Country did a trivia night!! And yes I did Google big bamboo!! Haha.. once in a while they ran out of rum but it was stocked quickly. On our last day we were getting picked up early before breakfast was served, I talked to the chef and 5 minutes later he came out of the kitchen with 2 plates of bacon and eggs for us, wonderful people all around!! If you want 5 star then stay at a 5 star! If you want down to earth real Jamaica it’s perfect at Fun Holiday 🌴❤️

I give 5 stars because of the AMAZING STAFF , beautiful beach and GOOD home-cooked Jamaican food. My second time at fun holiday, first was just with my husband and second time with my 2 sons. The staff( I can not name them as EACH AND EVERY staff member went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and being very attentive to my 3 year old). If you are to book a tour, book with STEVE at the hotel. He took us to Benta falls (beautiful) where we could walk amd swim in the water for a very reasonable price. Steve goes out if his way to make you feel comfortable. The beach is perfect no rocks or seaweed. Located 3 minute from downtown negril where you will find local shops, Seaview restaurant , and grocery stores. Prices in the town are cheap . Not a 5 star resort however a 5 star experience!!! We are very experienced travellers and not picky complainers! This hotel is sadly rundown. It reminded me of a Cuban holiday at a 2 or 3 star resort. *Location is great. *Beach was small and the staff did very little to clean up the seaweed that had washed ashore the prior week. Each day we had to wonder down the beach and paid other hotels to use their beach chairs as they had cleaned their beaches and ours had not. *Pool was murky so we didn’t even dip our toes in. *Pool and beach loungers broken, some were in good condition though! *Swim up bar is permanently closed. *Not enough seating in restaurant for guests. Not even enough salt and pepper shakers for each table or cutlery for each guest. People were lined up waiting for fresh coffee daily and many resorted to buying instant at the store to make their own in the mornings! Often no napkins. *Thank goodness we did not do all inclusive as the food was limited. *We had no bedding at first, were told there was no extra but then got some delivered late that night! Thank you! *A fridge or hairdryer or coffee maker are all extra and you have to preorder them for your room. But when we got there said they actually didn’t have them but did eventually get them a few days later!! *Staff were pleasant and housekeeping did an excellent job in our room. *Our air conditioning leaked the first few days and we had to keep our only garbage can under it and empty it daily but they did fix it on day 5! *You really just get what you pay for! We paid a lower price compared to other places. *This hotel was fine (but not great by any means) we only ate breakfast and slept at our hotel and the rooms were clean! We would not return as we’d happily pay more to have a nicer place for future holidays as we’ve been to Jamaica many times. *But if you love Cuban vibe and have low expectations, you really just want a clean room then this is the place for you! *We’re not saying don’t stay here, just be aware of what you are really booking!

Very run down. Everything is broken (chairs, safes, beach loungers etc) very poor food quality, not enough food for guests (example, 80 guests they have 40 hamburgers). Staff are wonderful but not enough of them to do the work. Poor drink selection, run out of everything. Pool is cloudy, can not see the bottom. Not even enough tables and chairs for guests in dining room. This place needs new management or to be condemned.
