Our experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Lago Di Como, was truly magical and unforgettable. This hotel became the most special setting of our lives, because it was here that my boyfriend proposed to me. Everything was organized with such care: he rented a boat in coordination with the hotel, and Domenico, who works at the Mandarin Oriental, took us on a private tour around the villas of the lake. Inside the boat, the hotel had prepared a beautiful amenities basket and gin & tonics—our favorite drink and the one we first connected over, making it especially meaningful. In front of one of the villas where James Bond and Star Wars were filmed, my boyfriend asked me to marry him. It was a moment I will never forget.
When we returned to the hotel, we found a beautiful setting in our room, with flowers and thoughtful greetings. During the three days we stayed, everything was simply perfect. The view from our room was breathtaking, and every moment was filled with kindness and attention. The housekeeping was excellent, and the entire staff made us feel truly welcome—always attentive, professional, and warm. From the moment we arrived by car, everyone greeted us with a smile, and when we left, they bid us farewell the same way.
On our last day, we enjoyed some pizzas by the lake, paired with champagne and gin & tonics. Honestly, it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was wonderful: the food, the service, the views, the atmosphere and the location is perfect. We had never stayed in such a beautiful hotel in Italy, and since it was my first time visiting the country, my expectations were very high… but they were exceeded in every possible way.
I feel so happy and grateful for everything we experienced here. Without a doubt, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a memory we will carry with us forever.

Este hotel se convirtió en el escenario más especial de nuestras vidas, porque aquí fue donde mi novio me pidió matrimonio. Todo lo organizaron con tanto cuidado: él alquiló un bote en coordinación con el hotel, y Domenico, quien trabaja allí, nos llevó en un pequeño tour por las villas del lago. Dentro del bote, el hotel nos preparó una hermosa canasta de amenidades y gin tonics, nuestra bebida favorita y con la que nos conocimos, por lo que fue aún más especial. Frente a una de las villas donde se filmaron James Bond y Star Wars, mi novio me pidió la mano. Fue un momento que nunca olvidaré.
Cuando regresamos al hotel, nos esperaba un setting precioso en la habitación, con flores y detalles llenos de cariño. Durante los tres días que nos quedamos, todo fue perfecto. La vista desde nuestra habitación era increíble y la limpieza impecable. El personal fue siempre muy atento y amable, nos hicieron sentir realmente bienvenidos. Desde que llegamos en coche todos nos recibieron con una sonrisa, y al despedirnos nos despidieron de la misma forma, con calidez y profesionalismo.
El último día disfrutamos de unas pizzas frente a la laguna, acompañadas de champán y gin tonics. Honestamente, fue una de las mejores pizzas que he probado en mi vida. Todo fue maravilloso: la comida, el servicio, las vistas, la atmósfera y la locación es ideal. Nunca antes nos habíamos hospedado en un hotel tan hermoso en Italia, y siendo mi primera vez en el país, mis expectativas eran muy altas… pero se superaron con creces.
Me siento muy feliz y agradecida por todo lo que vivimos aquí. Sin duda, fue una experiencia única en la vida y un recuerdo que llevaremos para siempre.
