The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses & Wildlife Sanctuary

The cabin is spacious.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Canopy Rainforest Treehouses & Wildlife Sanctuary. This property is falsely advertised and should not be charging premium prices for facilities guests are not actually allowed to use. The listing advertises a BBQ and fireplace, which were major reasons we booked this place. When we arrived, there was no BBQ at all. Reception refused to provide one even after we explained we had purchased expensive meat specifically for the BBQ because it was listed as an amenity. We ended up having to throw food away. The fireplace was even worse. There is literally a sign above it saying “Caution do not use fireplace.” Management admitted the fireplaces are not up to fire safety code, yet they still advertise them in the listing and continue using photos of guests enjoying them. That is blatant false advertising. To make matters worse, the door to the accommodation does not properly lock. Imagine paying premium accommodation prices only to discover you cannot securely leave your belongings behind when leaving the property. Completely unacceptable from a safety perspective. There also was a hole in the bathtub making it impossible to fill and use. Multiple attempts to contact reception with no success, due to needing essentials i.e. batteries for air conditioner and television, lighter for the gas stove as the one provided was empty. Also needed to contact reception about fresh towels as due to the extreme humidity towels were not able to be dried. Had no success with this matter either. The entire experience felt dishonest and poorly managed. It seems the owners want the marketing appeal of these amenities without actually maintaining them or making them safe and usable for guests. Would never stay here again and absolutely would not recommend it to anyone.

Einrichtung, im Bett konnte man gut schlafen, sehr nettes Personal. Auf der Wanderung haben wir Schnabeltiere und Schildkröten gesehen.

Es wäre klasse, wenn die Wanderwege nochmal mit neuen Bändern deutlicher gekennzeichnet werden würden.

Uitzicht, rust, dieren en vogels komen op je balkon. Ze eten uit je hand als je dat wilt. Vriendelijke beheerders. Faciliteiten prima, maar er is wel wat onderhoud nodig

Geen gaas voor de deuren en ramen zodat deze niet open konden (insecten). Hierdoor vochtig en wat muf. Wifi alleen bij receptie.

The location was everything I was looking for, the abundance of wildlife that surrounded the property was by far my favourite. Winding down in the late afternoon and seeing turtles and a platypus in the river, to the possums and bettongs. Early mornings being greeted by all different species of birds.

De hygiene was erg teleurstellend... Airco kapot, kakkerlakken!, kikkers en speel spinnen binnen. Het bed was nat van het vocht.

Just the interaction with nature was awesome for us.

The only thing I can mention was losing power for a few hours, which was out of your control so all good.
