The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses & Wildlife Sanctuary

This was our third visit to the treehouses and our second time in Pademelon treehouse. We continue to love it. The treehouses are always clean and have everything we need for a comfortable two night stay. We love not having the temptation of using our phones as there is no network coverage. It is also exciting to spot some of the wildlife knowing that they haven't been lured by people feeding them. The possums come nightly on the off chance of food but they get nothing from us!!! Once again we had great viewing of platypus in their natural habitat. A wonderful place to go to listen to the sounds of nature and see beautiful rain forest foliage through exceptionally clean windows as you lie in bed!

I would suggest taking a bird book or a wild life in north queensland book if you want to identify species. You can't use your phone!

Great location tucked away in the bush and right next to the creek where the platypus were located. Lots of wildlife with possums coming up onto the balcony.

Everything was great

Close sightings of possum, turtles ,parrots , fowl. So peaceful, surrounded by trees. Cold in the forest, the fireplace was a treat. Beds not too comfortable but still had an amazing sleep as it was so peaceful. It does become difficult to manage the mud coming into the house with kids. A long broom would be handy. Gas fire oven felt a bit dangerous, unable to adjust temp. Leaking shower head. No wifi in the cabin but a short walk to reception to get WiFi. Can just be awkward if there is an emergency but it was a good break for us.

A little birdy told me that this establishment may not be going for that much longer, or at least not in its current incarnation, but if you should find it available for booking, it is very probably the most immersive rainforest accommodation experience you could have in the Tableland, a narrow strip though it is. All mod cons, and bath and bedroom windows cradled from all sides in lush, giant-leafed fan palms and gingers make for an unforgettable stay. A note of caution though - the onsite trails aren‘t marked on any map app, so make sure not to venture out too late. A chronic tingling brought about by a brush with a gympie-gympie can attest to the folly of that.

The position and the novelty of the house itself, built entirely of wood and surrounded by forest and nature. The kitchen is really well equipped. Loved the balcony with barbeque. Really beautiful tree-top house

Could have been cleaner (large dead spider and cobwebs under the bed). Windows quite dirty. Chairs on balcony needed cleaning before we could use them
