Landhotel Hirschen

Hotel is classic Black Forest style had a lovely meal one of the evenings in their restaurant. The rooms were lovely, nice large and clean. Plenty of parking either in their car park or across the road next to the river. My only comment would be that the sauna isn’t signposted I think you must have to ask, same goes for the tennis courts. The only negative would be the road it is on isn’t the quietest. We did have a nice time.

Clean, friendly and very good service. Food is very good.

Stayed there a night while driving through the area. Beautifully quiet area, great food and service. Room was large and clean and quiet. A very relaxing stay!

The couple who own this place must be the hardest working people in Germany 🇩🇪. The good news is the staff were very friendly and rooms large and clean. Food at dinner is good and breakfast is included. The bad news is if you do not speak German the menus will be challenging because there is no English. Our experience is that English is fairly rarely used on menus or in museum exhibits etc anywhere in the Black Forest. In Freiburg and other larger cities you will find much more English than in smaller places. The owners snd staff at this hotel are willing to help but if you are not a seasoned traveler you may still be a bit uncomfortable ordering. To give an idea if the service. I did not list my license number at checkin. Our last night of three at the hotel i left the lights on in my rentcar. About 10:00 pm the owner called my room and asked if i was driving a Hyundai and told me i left the lights on. I don’t know how he determined it was my car or if he called every room but i know for sure he saved me an awful start for my morning on the day we left.

When shown to room we found it was not ready. staff were very good gave us complimentary drinks in bar while they made room ready, For the price we paid we would have expected a better experience however.

Delicious breakfast and dinner. The room balcony had a lovely view of the mountain behind us. The hotel is in the traditional style of the Black Forest region, the room was not very modern, but comfortable. The area is perfect for hiking or driving between the regional villages.

I came to the hotel primarily to hike, which I was all too easy. The Hotel's food, drink, etc. was very good. Breakfast was excellent. I think this is a very good hotel choice, but I had issues with the hardness of the bed, a very bad pillow, and no shampoo for the shower.

This was our 6th visit and it was as relaxing and enjoyable as always. The Junghanns are friendly, competent hosts with a long history in this business. The scenery is gorgeous, the hotel and grounds beautifully kept and decorated. We hope they never change a thing!

Hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. My family of four enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. The restaurant was great as we enjoyed breakfast each day.
