Westbury Gingerbread Cottages

Excellent location. Gorgeous antique furniture and so beautifully decorated. Afternoon tea was a lovely surprise. Huge bath towels and great four poster bed😊 Amanda is the very best host🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The heating and shower were really good.

The TV didn't work on most channels, and the bed felt like it might collapse. There's a hole in the floor near the front door.

The breakfast goods supplied by the host were more than adequate! Delicious homemade bread a bonus. The location was good for exploring the historical sites of Westbury.

The gas heater wouldn't work. The host came back more than once to try to get it going and eventually she thought she had. Unfortunately, when we needed it early morning it still didn't work. Also there was nowhere to sit outside in the morning sun. Kitchen equipment could use an update.

Old cottage, self catering not a B&B Wobbly front step, dirty and dusty in all rooms. Fully of old items that did not add to the charm. Dark and some of the lights did not work. The bed was awful and needs replacing as it was leaning to one side . All the taps leaked and sink leaked. Needs a lot of work to be comfortable. Glad I was only there for one night. Very expensive at $220 a night. Upside free washing machine and dryer

I have stayed in Gingerbread cottages a few times now, the location is great and owner is lovely, accommodating and very friendly.

I did think that the unit may need a little refresh, power also went out and there were no candles or batteries in the torch supplied, last time we stated we had an assortment of fresh bread, cereal, local produce etc, this time we did not get that upon staying.

Wonderful full breakfast provisions, muffins and apples on the property. Beautifully fluffy towels and quality sheets. Our host Mandy was friendly and helpful.

The accommodation was a little tired and needed updating and, in some corners, just a really good clean (dust and cobwebs). The small TV worked only some times, the bed sloped badly to one side and the whole cottage lacked enough lighting at night. Little things like all tourist info pamphlets dating back to 2017, out-of-date condiments, blunt bread knife and missing cutlery in addition to non working stove top and bathroom exhaust fans were also suggestive of a lack of maintenance.
