Loved our breakfast provisions and wonderful fresh baked bread and muffins and conserves. The old bakery furnishing and surrounds was a lovely place to stay.

"A quirky, historic accommodation which, with some TLC has potential. The host is lovely."

3.0

The property had a lot of character and potential to be a lovely history filled accommodation. Amanda, the host, was lovely and friendly. The wifi was very good. The fire look gas heater was great and there were plenty of heaters etc available. We mostly supplied our own food but the fresh bread and muffins on arrival were a lovely touch.

The property needed a lot of work. The curtain in the main bedroom room was falling down and needed fixing. One of the toilets kept making regular weird pipe noises. It needed a good clean and attention to detail. The fridge hadn’t been wiped out after last clients. There was half a cracker on the bottom shelf of the book case and cobwebs everywhere. This is a very historic old building and more difficult to maintain I’m sure, but it needs a thorough spring clean.

"Gorgeous cottage - terrible bed"

5.0

Super quaint cottage decked out with loads of old world charm and features. Fabulous breakfast supplies provided.

The bed seemed as old as the cottage - worst bed we have had this trip by far. Ended up trying to sleep on the couch.

"An authentic cottage, in a lovely town - highly recommend"

8.0

A nice simple breakfast was supplied with lovely muffins provided on arrival. Fresh home made bread was a treat too. The cottage is very rustic with many old world touches, the furnishings and kitchen especially. Very warm and cosy. The gardens were well kept and very pretty. Liked that there was a small verandah to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Was very appreciative of the washing machine and dryer. Our host was friendly and very helpful. Really liked where the house was situated - we could go walking to the Green and enjoy the architecture of the houses.

Maybe the bed could have been a little bit more sturdy and mattress more firm but was fine for one night.

Location and availability. Breki supplies were delicious, we took with us to next accommodation in Hobart.

Would have liked heaters on on arrival, I had phoned to say we would be late and estimated time of arrival.
