Bonne Esperance Boutique Guest House and Studio Apartments

This is a lovely little B&B with oodles of charm. As a business traveller I missed not having a dinner service, but would definitely return there for a personal stay.

Stayed in the studio apartment and was really great. One of the better places I stay. Michelle always has a smile on her face and is great to deal with.

We stayed 3 nights at the BE and found it to be a charming guest house, across from the university gardens and only 5 mins walk (perfectly safe) to the wonderful bars and restaurants of Stellenbosch. Michelle and Hans (and the other staff staff) were always very helpful, using their local knowledge and experience in helping us to choose which restaurant to visit or which wine tour to take and then booking them for us once we had decided. All in all a wonderful stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending the BE and hope to visit again ourselves in the near future.

Service awesome, bed the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Breakfast also very good.

Nothing wrong

We stayed 3 nights here while visiting the surrounding vineyards. The central location of the guest house is fabulous. We were able to walk to the downtown area within 5 minutes, its really around the corner. The front desk staff were the most helpful and pleasant people! They offered to make restaurant reservations, and did so, calling multiple places on some occasions, each day we were there. They told us about a local street party (around the corner again) where we got a wine glass and unlimted wine for $5! We wouldve never known if not for them. The guest house is beautiful, the gardens and entrance are whimsical and gorgeous. The room we had was upstairs, it was ok, not amazing, but more than fine. And clean. A little simple, but keep in mind it is not a hotel, but a guest house. Breakfast each morning was great w 2 hot options each day, we got to sit out on the porch and look at the beautiful gardens. Priviate parking lot, and free wifi also. I would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Stellenbosch.

Great staff and great room and great breakfast. Walking distance to downtown, university, botanical garden.

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting, excellent location, comfortable bed, lovely and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

So happy with this cosy and beautiful hostel. It was very homey, with comfortable beds, a nice garden with many nice places to sit and enjoy the sun with a glass of wine or a coffe. The personell were great, very friendly and welcoming. There was both hot and warm breakfast to choose from in the mornings and everything was super delicious . Thank you so much for our stay at Bonne Esperance, hope to be back soon.
