Lovely setting, comfortable room and good range of amenities (spa, pool, tennis). Dinner was lovely and our server was really nice. Staff were helpful with providing recommendations for the area. Great option for those looking to escape busy cities.

There were a few issues with cleanliness (ants in breakfast and insects in the room) and there wasn’t any room cleaning in the duration of our stay. Eco friendliness wasn’t as evident as other agrotourisms we stayed at despite called an eco resort. The location is quite remote although this is personal preference.

Very peaceful place, great hotel, restaurant was very good (both dinner and breakfast), and the room was beautiful. Friendly staff.

Nothing, but you need a car as the hotel is a bit far from everything.

We stayed at Podere Castellare for a week, and the time flew by! From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff was incredibly helpful. We arrived late but received clear instructions on how to check in, along with recommendations for getting to the hotel from the airport, as we couldn’t hire a car on the first day. Breakfast was lovely. On the first day, we struggled to find lunch since most places nearby were closed on Sundays, but the receptionist went to check with the chef, and they cooked something for us, which was really lovely. She also helped us and guided us on how to take a bus to the city to rent a car. We booked one dinner at their restaurant, and it was delicious! The fresh ingredients and homey atmosphere made it feel special. The hotel itself is simple, minimal, and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail—perfect for a relaxing getaway from the city. I highly recommend this place, and the prices are very reasonable!

I wish there were more non-pork savory options available at breakfast. Other than that, everything was great!

Unfortunately a disappointment. The hotel is old, ugly. We had a reservation for 2 SUPERIOR rooms. The first room on the ground floor smelled of mold and moisture, after exchanging the room for the same type of room, only 4-6 m2 larger on the 1st floor, an additional payment was embarrassingly required. The second room (also of SUPERIOR type) was without a TV and without a box safe. I have never experienced that in a 4-star hotel. Nice breakfast, quality ingredients, but very poor selection. They made an omelette for us free of charge. Unfortunately, however, only one type of plain white bread. Don't expect wholemeal pastries or croissants. Few places to sit, some had to sit outside on the terrace even though it was not warm. The table in the breakfast room a disaster, light small, we almost spilled the hot tea on the child. Please buy other heavy legs for the tables. There is no carpet or tiles in the room. There is also no tiling in the bathroom. The choice of food for dinner very bad, we preferred to go to a restaurant 5 km away. The surrounding nature is beautiful, free parking and wifi. Air conditioned. Hotel overall clean.

Food was amazing. Property was great.

We were not informed in advance that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and thus, had no where to eat for the day. Not only was everywhere else far or so crowded or bad service, but the advice given by staff was rather disappointing.

We had a car so location was ideal with lovely views, pool and tennis court. Tasty food and good service. Rooms super comfy and clean.

Would be good to have a list of restaurants in the area that we could go explore, as well as some nearby points of interest.

I just cannot say enough about our stay at this lovely place!! The atmosphere, ALL amaaaazing team members, the food (homemade breakfasts & dinners) and their own gin & wine. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay so homelike & peaceful. Very special thanks to the Manager, such a lovely gentleman who would go above and beyond to make sure the guests are satisfied to the highest level. We cannot wait to come back again, much appreciated. 💚🤍❤️
