Breakers North Absolute Beachfront Apartments

The apartment was very spacious and lovely air conditioning to keep us cool. The location was excellent - close to shops and local pub - literally on the beach. There was also a local lifesaving team with flags to swim between just outside the apartment. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies for self-catering and although some minor improvements overall, I would definitely stay here again. The staff were also very helpful, polite and friendly.

Apartment we stayed in was very dated and desperate for a renovation. The kitchen drawer front fell off the first time we opened it, the towel rail in main bathroom also fell off wall and the shower in the main bedroom door/grout needed a good scrubbing as not cleaned properly on arrival.

We liked the View from balcony. The unit is very spacious. And really like the main bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite. Great access directly to the beach too.

The location is very good, with the beach just a short walk away. There is also a nice café close to the property, which was very convenient. The Cavill Avenue and Surfers Paradise restaurants are relatively close, although not within walking distance. The view from the property was also good, with a partial ocean view.

Upon arrival, I found the apartment to be in very poor condition overall: The couch is extremely uncomfortable, heavily scratched, worn, and clearly not well maintained. Its condition is unacceptable and is shown clearly in the attached photos. The chairs are in very poor condition, worn and unstable. The overall layout of the apartment is uncomfortable and not suitable for a pleasant stay. In the first bedroom, the cupboards are filled with furniture that appears to belong to the apartment owner, leaving no available space to store our bags or personal belongings. The cupboards overall have no drawers or adequate storage space, which caused significant inconvenience during our stay. There is a clear infestation of ants in the kitchen, which is unhygienic and unacceptable. The glass coffee table is unstable and not secure, creating a safety hazard as it could easily tip or fall. In the second bedroom, there is a poorly placed and unsafe power extension, which I consider a serious electrical hazard and potential safety risk. This issue is also visible in the attached photos. General cleanliness and maintenance standards are far below what is expected for this type of accommodation and price range. Additionally, I booked an ocean view apartment, however the unit provided offers only a partial ocean view from one side and a city view from the other, which does not match what was advertised. Based on my previous experiences, I did not expect this level of accommodation from a property listed on Booking.com. I am extremely disappointed, as the apartment does not reflect the photos, description, or value advertised on your platform.
