Washington House Inn

We stayed at the Washington House Inn for our 31st anniversary and had a wonderful time. We checked in a bit early and had time to attend the wine and cheese social in the gathering room. Our room was very clean and welcoming. Every detail was thought of by the staff. I was even able to get hot tea at 10 pm. There was always an Inn Keeper in the office to help with any questions. The Inn is right in the heart of downtown Cedarburg, which makes it the ideal spot for walking, biking, or a shopping spree.

This is a characterful historic place in the center of beautiful Cedarburg. I had some trepidation that it would be too "historic", but it was extremely comfortable and perfect for what I wanted. The room was snug, understandable given the historic structure, but the shower was huge and spotless. The breakfast was "continental", but with great bakery and quiche in a lovely parlor front room. So much nicer than a typical "chain" hotel.

This is an incredible hotel. The decor sets the tone of turn of the century charm. 108 - The room was spacious with two sitting chairs and a fireplace. The bed was comfortable. For us shorties, a little hard to get into though. We missed the social hour with wine and cheese, but will definitely catch it next time. The breakfast is called continental but such a wide variety of items, including an egg and bacon dish. Located right in the heart of downtown. Lots of restaurants and shops. I’ll be telling everyone to stay here when in the Milwaukee area.

Enjoyable vintage building with antique feeling but with clean comfortable rooms.

This was a lovely b&b, only problem was that I don't like high beds. Also, I didn't care for the old-fashioned aesthetic in the room, which translates to browns and greens, including in the brown shower. The tv could be higher up in its cabinet. But the wine and cheese in the evening and the breakfast in the morning were sensationally delicious, especially the breakfast pastries.

This is an excellent choice when visiting Cedarburg. It is in the center of town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decent size. Beds are full of blankets and pillows and are very comfy. Good sized bathroom in our room with premium soaps/shampoos. Our tub had grab bars all over. Breakfast is included, eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, bagels etc. they do have some home baked items which people really enjoyed,(not things that I normally eat.) Very nice sized dining area with views of the front street. I would stay there again whenever I’m in the area.

Three of us have been friends since first grade and have celebrated major birthdays together in different cities over the years. This was the big 80 and we loved our stay at the Washington House Inn in Cedarburg. It is very convenient to shops, bakery and restaurants. Like the historic inn, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. The wine and cheese at 5:00 was delightful featuring local wines. The breakfast offered in the morning was outstanding with the best scones I have ever had. If you have balance issues, just specify you need a walk in shower. The tubs were nice and deep. Our stay at the Washington Inn made this birthday a special one indeed!

Wonderful hotel, area, and staff. Only problem is your VCR/Cable/ TV system is very hard to use. The free DVD rentals are great.
