"Mixed feelings"

Breakfast excellent, amazing scone and cream, Bistro food very satisfactory. The staff were all very nice and most helpful. Comfortable room and beds.

No food available between 9.30 and 5pm. Therefore not possible to have afternoon tea or lunch, that rather spoiled our stay especially before returning to the Airport.

"good location & friendly staff - but awful restaurant & yucky room!"

the staff were all friendly and nice, the bar/lounge area is contemporary and nice. breakfast is adequate.

the restaurant was awful, the wait for food was ridiculous - we had to ask 2 when it was coming and we saw staff apologising to nearly every other table for the same thing. when it came it was really poor quality and mine wasnt nice at all, really disappointing. only ate there once for this reason. the bedroom was tiny, our tv didnt work, the shower was old and not clean, and it was really old and dated completley different than the fresh looking downstairs of the hotel. it shouldnt matter as your not in the room that much - but it did we will pay more next time and stay somewhere nicer.

"A short stay but one I would repeat."

All the staff I interacted with in my short overnight stay were excellent. Both the Check-In lady and the Night Manager in the early morning. They accommodated and delivered my request efficiently without any bother, which I greatly appreciated. I won't specify so as not to set a precedent! I also liked the fact that it was a bit out of town in a quieter area. Also the sea view was great.

The double plug socket was unusually close to the floor, so my adaptor wouldn't fit. Luckily, I realised I could unplug the TV! I expect I could have tried to borrow an extension lead. The radiator was at a jaunty angle.

"The stay at the hotel was okay for one night but won’t be rushing back."

The swimming pool was great.(apart from changing rooms) The food in the restaurant was very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The back garden was very run down, with broken and rotten wood in areas. There were only two wooden benches outside in the back garden. Only two changing rooms in the pool area and the lock was broken on one of the doors. The bedroom and bathroom was extremely basic. The skirting board in the bedroom was very dusty.
