Hotel Cristal was a lovely little hotel where we had a small-ish room, but had the biggest, nicest bathroom. The sink was HUGE!. Breakfast was wonderful - a variety of foods to suit everyone. We didn't explore the local area but had an easy 30 min. walk to reach the old town. The U-bahn was simple to use when it came time to come back to the hotel. One disadvantage was the set of about six steps that one needed to climb in order to access the lift to the upper floors.
We had a nice stay for one night,the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast they served was great would defiantly stay there agsin.
The hotel was cute, even the area around it. Was an ok walk from the metro, not too far. The room was bigger by European standards which was nice since there were 3 of us with our own suitcases (fold out bed in the couch was ok from the person who slept on it) Our issue was that there was harldy ever wifi. As an international traveler without cell service, we rely on wifi to communicate. When we checked in I could get wifi in the lobby, but when we went to our room I was the only 1 of the 3 that could get on. Then I lost it and couldnt get back on. Error was "too many people were on, not enough spots available". Was not wifi but a hot spot maybe? They handed out individual user IDs and passwords. The hotel name wasnt in the wifi name. When we got back to our room it was out, as in none available at all. It was totally down. I woke up a couple times in the night (restless, jet lag) and wasnt working. Finally started again, but even at 3:30 am it was giving me the same error before, none available. It had been on less than an hour since the last time I woke up, but somehow there were enough people on already in the middle of the night?
Very warm in the hotel room. No air conditioner or fan. Had to leave windows open but street noise and yelling made for poor sleep. Luckily only stayed one night. Glass door to the bathroom see through.

This is a nice hotel with a well kept property and friendly staff. It is minutes from city center. The neighborhood is slightly dated but the hotel makes up for it. The rooms are a bit small but they are nice and comfortable.
Overnight stop on way from Frankfurt to Prague. Easy access, clean comfortable room. Staff nice and helpful and breakfast better than expected. Parking in back for 2 euro, street parking in front for free. Overall, no complaints.
Service was excellent, beds very comfy. Stayed over on a summer night so it was quite warm inside, opened windows but too noisy due to traffic on road nearby.
