Il Seminario Bed and Breakfast

This is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast that is inside the city wall and a 10 minute walk to the train station. The staff is extremely helpful in giving suggestions on places to eat and things to do. We took a train one day to Pisa. They leave about every 30 minutes and we got off at the small station in Pisa just before the Central Station. This lets you off 3 blocks from the Leaning Tower and is much more convientent than the main station. The lady at the desk at the bed and breakfast recommended Osteria San Giorgio to eat dinner at and what a great place. We split a 800 gram steak Florentine which was cooked to perfection and we liked it so much that we returned 3 other nights during our 5 days in Lucca. The room, bed and pillows were very comfortable. They open up the breakfast room every day at 2 pm for coffee, tea and hot chocolate and rolls. We will definitely come back here if we return to Lucca.

This place is amazing. The staff is very helpful and they all speak very good English. The location is perfect, inside the city wall and in a very charming location. We have walked to everything. It is only a 10 minute walk to the RR station. The breakfast is excellent and every afternoon between 2PM and 4PM they offer coffee, hot chocolate and pastries in the breakfast room -- a nice touch! Our room was quite large and the bathroom very nice. Everything spotlessly clean and in a very quiet area. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lucca.

Convenient location just inside city walls. Excellent aircon and clean.

Terrific location inside walled city and easy walk from train station. Room was generously sized, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was clean with all amenities. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. Wish we'd planned a longer visit to Lucca!

Only had 48 hours in Lucca, so we really appreciated Il Seminario's location. Walking distance of the railway station (8 mins) and well placed for exploring Lucca, i.e inside the walls. Lovely helpful staff, and the place is comfortable and spotless. I'd certaintly go back , and stay longer.

Easy to find. View of Duomo and Tower were spectacular. Breakfast area was only place you got the convent feel, which was fun! Had a fabulous stay. Perfect for Siena.
