Barberstown Castle

Beautiful grounds and interiors, amazingly comfortable bed and wonderful staff. Nearby bus stop made for easy access to Dublin city. There was a wedding the night of our stay but no noise disturbance at all

The front desk staff were lovely and very helpful from the time we checked in until we left the property. The grounds are meticulously maintained and great for pictures.

The Restaurant was closed which was unexpected.

This was one of the most unique hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were decorated with antiques and very elaborate styles. I took many pictures to share with family and friends. The atmosphere at the bar/lounge was good and the beer that is brewed on premise was very good.

Beautiful suite.Beautiful old hotel. My complaint , the night we stayed it was raining & maintenance left a ladder on the ground outside and I spent the night listening to the rain hitting off the ladder! Next morning we had room service delivered with no cutlery or condiments and cold toast!

We were attending a wedding in the K club and talking to friends and family we got the better hotel lovely room, food exelelent lovely staff so glad we chose Barberstown

Let's be blunt, how many opportunities are you going to have to say you stayed in a castle? The oldest portion was built in the 12th century I think, but it seemed like most of the guest rooms are in the Elizabethan (1500s) or Victorian (1800s) additions. The dining room serves a prix fixe dinner (reservations strongly suggested, although the staff was great about squeezing me in without a reservation) as well as a breakfast with a buffet as well as cooked-to-order food. The grounds are also quite beautiful, although I didn't have time to fully explore them.

Exceptional reception and all I had in mind when dreaming of actually staying in a castle...no ghost though. Too perfect a venue.
