Its a beautiful hotel very expensive with no added breakfast and a miss communcation as we ordered breakfast .but only thing wrong staff are friendly and helpful and we had a beautiful day and nights sleep

"Excellent"

Room was very nicely done in period decor, breakfast in the old castle was good. There is no real dining to speak of. The tea room has been shut down, the bar was terribly understaffed, we went to their new pub but it was not really ready so we had to go off site for dinner. Not expected of a 4 star hotel

Highly recommended. Quiet, easily accessible from the highway, lovely fireplace and garden. Restored original castle is now a huge medieval banquet hall.

"Very enjoyable couples getaway"

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous setting, amazing food. We had a drink in the orangerie after dinner, cool jazz singer & pianist....we'll definitely be back. Will avoid room 1 though, woke early with the sun as there were no curtains.

"A lovely stay"

Stayed at Barberstown Castle for 2 nights in Aug 2018. Staff- very friendly and professional. Food- good selection breakfast. Restaurant serves quality snacks/drinks. Room- clean and classy. Bed is comfortable.

30 minutes for checkin; food was great at wedding, next morning woke at 10 and rang reception for breakfast time and told 10 but they would ring down and arrange a breakfast, got there at 10.15 and told none available. At checkout told we must pay for breakfast even after not having it, also bar at wedding was cash only which seemed strange
