Boardwalk Hotel Charlee & Beach House Rentals

The door only had one lock and it was very flimsy and extremely unsafe. The room was ridiculously hot in the middle of the summer. After 3 hours of trying to cool it down we were still sweating. I ended up checking out and not staying the night between safety and comfort reasons.

Overall a nice stay. Nice roof patio and coffee and food right there. Right on the boardwalk and far enough away from the rides to avoid the noise. Beautiful Oceanview!

Parking is located 2 blocks from hotel. Rooms are very small, bed was uncomfortable and broken to the point I thought it would crumble underneath us. The room is very small and we kept bumping into things just trying to move around. Bathroom is very small also. Since the room is right on the boardwalk so it is very loud until about 10pm.

The staff was wonderful! Quick to respond to problems as they arose.

The room was very damp, even with the ac on the sheets and spread on the bed felt damp. We only got 3 bath towels and 1 face towel and 1 washcloth. We did get more when we asked but with two people should have been more to start. The room was not the cleanest when we arrived , and no one even swept up the floor during our stay… did not do any cleaning at all.. with the sand the floor was filthy by the second day. And your description of the place should include the paid beach , only allowed in water from 10-5 , beach can be closed for any stupid reason, no one allowed on the beach after 8pm ……. This was all a huge surprise to us . We have visited many beaches and never anything like this basically ruined my vacation. I got beach front because I want the beach not look at it from the other side of a gate!!!

Did not stay. Property was not as advertised. Absolutely disgusting. Linens seemed damp. Moldy musty smell in room. No refund or even partial refund given.

Location was perfect. It’s close to many restaurants and right on the board walk. Can’t beat that.

Everything, small room, stairs outside, parking just about non-existent . it was a horrible experience.

We were right on the boardwalk. Our room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

It’s right on the boardwalk so if you’re going to be spending time on the beach or boardwalk for any extended period of time it’s very convenient. But it is really just a place to sleep. The rooms are very barebones, just a bed, end tables, a bathroom, and a small tv. It’s my understanding they may be renovating some rooms, but it’s definitely not a room I’d be spending any amount of time in other than to sleep.
