Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier

Beautiful older hotel which has been modernized. Our room had a lovely big bathroom. Restaurant downstairs did lovely meals.

Everything I needed was provided

The room was very small. The fridge was not turned on when I checked in. I only found out the next morning when all my chilled food had been warm overnight.

It was all good except we weren't advised on checking in that breakfast finished at 9 a.m. the next morning. We got a call at 8.30 the next morning to advise us of this. Consequently it was a bit of a rush to get there in time.

Well priced for a clean well appointed room. Much better value that where we stayed in Haast.

Very friendly staff and excellent beds.

The room was quite noisy. The fridge in the room and another industrial one of a restaurant just below our window kept switching on and off during the whole night. There was also quite a bit of noise from a bar down the road and from other guest in the hotel.

This lovely historic hotel ticked all of the boxes - comfortable, wonderful staff and a vert good restaurant.

No complaints.
